Excellent device, works well, and has a simep and effective app that works
The heart of the device is a handheld, rechargeable battery wifi transmitter. Two simple controls, an on/off button that also creates a pairing state with your mobile phone or tablet and a thumbwheel control to dim and brighten the LEDs at the end of the camera.Ok, to get this working you do have to download and install the DEPSTECH by yuanpei it's a small app and does not require many permissions. Next, make sure your phone wifi is on by going to the phone wifi settings page. Keep this settings page open and turn the Borescope device on and wait for the pairing blue light to flash, now open the downloaded app and follow the start instructions. Swap back to the wifi settings and search for DEPSTECH and connect. This will take your phone offline from your router, but you can rejoin the LAN later without issue if your password is saved.when you connect to DEPSTECH it will ask for a password. I entered the default 12345678 and it connected. Now you can switch back to the app and see the camera working. An app settings page allows you to change the default password if you want. However the wifi range is VERY low at about 30m, so it's unlikely anyone else will be able to join this localised network. The picture quality is excellent as you will see from my video (taken with the Borescope camera. A VERY useful and practical tool for multiple exploration work. Just be aware that the end of the camera can get very warm, so don't go sticking this into private places where it touches skin or tissue. Video shows detail of my watch, keyboard, (yuc needs cleaning) and a USB plug. Sometimes the LEDs are on, sometimes off. You'll notice focus and details are very good, but there is a limited framerate on video.

When you need it, very useful
I will admit that since I have had this endoscope, I have only had to use it twice, but it was invaluable on both occasions. Once in the engine bay of my car when I dropped a bolt, the other to try an de-snag some wiring. It was easy to install on my iPhone and the images are clear enough (plenty of light)I very useful addition to my tool box.

Inspect the narrowest of gaps without having to rip out the walls.
This is one remarkably impressive little borescope. The main box is a mere 85mm by50mm by 25mm thick. With the flexible cable is less than 5mm thick and a nice 1.5m long. There’s one button on/off, long pressing it for a couple of seconds for it to turn on or turn off. There’s a little dial near the power button which turns on the light, brightening it by turning the dial, lighting up the myriad little bulbs surrounding the tiny camera at the end of the flexible cable. You have to connect this to a phone using the Depstech view app you can download. You have to make an account, but it’s free and doesn’t take too long. Once your account’s up and running you use the WiFi of your phone to connect to the WiFi of this device, Depstech wifi and connect using the default password, which is mentioned in the booklet in the box. Then it’s job done.On the app you can take pictures or videos and save them to your phone. You can also change the settings to get this to work just as you want it. But the default settings are good enough for what you need to do. but here you can add a password, change resolution and change the name of the systems WiFi.This can be used for so many things, seeing things which you’d never normally be able to see. I’ve used it to check the struts behind a plasterboard wall, the drainage running from my bath to see what was slowing the flow down. The lights surrounding the lens is bright and lights up the darkness with ease, showing you exactly what the lens is looking at.The end of the lens does can a little hot the longer the lights are on so don’t touch the end or fingers may well get burnt. It has a built in rechargeable battery which charges using the lead in the box. It takes a few hours to charge and gives out even more hours of constant use with the light on full brightness. The camera/cable can be a little tricky to manoeuvre at first, but I soon got the hang of it and was soon getting it where I wanted to and getting the image the right up. (Although you can turn the image over in the app instead of rotating the cable itself)The picture quality is exceptional, with the light showing everything so clearly. With the image showing on the phone with a fine detail. In all, a fine little borescope which has more uses than you’d think, although I’d draw the line at checking a colon or small intestines. I’d leave that up to the doctors as they know what they’re doing.

Very good borescope
This borescope is a decent price at just under £50 at time of review and the picture quality is great. This uses a rechargeable pack which which connects to your device via its own WiFi signal. You need to download the Depstech-view app first (available for iOS and android) register then go to your phone or tablets WiFi settings and discover the name Depstech ***** and connect to the borescope like you would your home WiFi.Once you're connected to the borescopes WiFi you can then open the depstech app and start viewing. The camera is very small and capable of being fed through plumbing, behind walls etc etc and has adjustable bright led lights around the camera lens for lighting up the area you're inspecting for a clearer image.Close up image quality is great and highly defined.Transmission between the borescope and your device is 16.5ft before losing connection and the camera is waterproof to IP67 rating.Perfect for inspecting plumbing, especially blockages before having to disconnect the plumbing drains etc which can potentially save you a lot of time and hassle. It is well worth the money and can be very handy in multiple applications were you have limited space for inspecting areas. The app is easy to use and is intuitive to use allowing you to record and take pictures as well as rotating the image to allow a better viewing experience. The user manual is well written and fully explains the camera and how to set up.Charging cable is supplied.Great to have at home and easy to use.

I normally don't give 5 stars but this deserves them! Excellent product
I've bought various scopes/etc over the years and I will say that this one is THE best I have ever had for size, quality, and ease of use. A must buy if you need a portable endoscope. My ONLY 'gripe' is the lack of an app for a tablet. The app works great on a smartphone but I would love to have the same functionality on a tablet. Other than that...a 10 out of 10. Well done!
