Does this unit support outputting at 44,100 and 48,000 Hz?

Hi, it supports 44.1K/48KHz sampling rate, as well as 96KHz & 192KHz.

Is this adapter bi-directional?

Hi, it's uni-directional and only for USB to SPDIF conversion.

Can you use it to record mp3 music from the pc to a sony md player-recorder please

Hi, if Sony MD player supports SPDIF input for music recording, then you could use this adapter for this purpose.

I received & I tried connecting to my PC it shows in the System> sound as SPDIF interface but cant get the output on my Sonos Ray, what to do?

Have you changed the sound output of the PC? In Windows 11 you can do this from System/Sound. Select 'SPDIF Interface' for the output and ensure the volume is > 0.
