Longer, More Durable and works better than expected. The arc allows you to put adequate pressure on whatever you are holding down. Used this for cutting small pieces of trim on the miter saw which would have normally required my fingers to be close to the blade.

Great product, easy to use, very effective at securing your work piece and keeping your fingers at a safe distance from the saw blade. It just seems expensive for something that is little more than a stick of plastic. Having said that...it is safety equipment. You could jerry-rig a DIY hold-down from a windshield ice scraper but...what are your fingers worth to you? Worth it to have well designed, quality safety solution.

This works great. It holds the material well - even small pieces of wood - and keeps my hands away from the saw blade. I recommend it to anyone using a table saw.

I used this safety stick the first day I received it. It takes the worry out of cutting small parts. The two scariest incidents in my shop occurred when small cuts resulted in a 1" chunk of unsupported wood, wedged between my miter saw and the fence, became projectiles directed at my head. Fortunately, they hit a wall and not my body. It's true, for a few bucks you can significantly improve safety in your shop. It also saves time trying to clamp small parts close to the blade. Must have item if you consistently make small cuts you aren't clamping.

I keep this at my miter saw. It's easy to use and adaptable to different cutting problems. I have all my fingers and if I can keep this thing nearby, I doubt I'll lose any at the miter saw.

Another great addition to my table saw safety arsenal. Very handy.
