**Q: Does it require 4"x4" coupling for attaching to the pipe?**
A: No, a 4" sch 40 pipe will slide into it.

**Q: Is this suitable (i.e. does it pass "code") for a dryer vent (schedule 40 4" pvc exiting the house)?**
A: OK for vertical but not for sidewall terminations. For sidewall you’ll want a non-screened dryer vent hood with a backdraft preventer.

**Q: Does this fit 4" schedule 40 pvc pipe"**
A: I had to get a 3" to 4" adapter being my pipe is 3". I would think it would work. The cap is working ok.

**Q: is there any issue with it restricting air flow, as the air has to change direction?**
A: It doesn't restrict air flow more than a domed or pointed pipe cap.    You have to have some kind of pipe cap, or your fan will be exposed to debris and the elements.     I didn't get a noticeable change in air flow...
