Good Quality Product that Works as Advertised
This mirror does exactly what it says. It comes with a long connector that you can run down into your dashboard where you can connect your cameras and power. I like this because you can place your connectors somewhere easy to work on. The mirror is a good size. My favorite feature is that the screen isn't noticeable at all when it's turned off so this looks just like a normal mirror. The compass and temperature gauge both work well and actually mirror what my car says. I mainly wanted this so I can see my temperature when using Apple CarPlay. (Keep in mind that you will need to run a temperature sensor to the front of your car for the temperature function to work.) If you choose not to do this, you just don't plug in the sensor and the temperature won't be displayed on the mirror. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. It works as advertised and the screen offers good quality.

Good, but with one major flaw.
At first I gave this 5 stars, but after attempting to calibrate the compass, I had to come back and dock a couple stars. In order to get into calibration mode, you have to pull the 2nd video input RCA cable out of your dash, and find a video source to plug into it (and what the heck uses RCA video output anymore??). I guess I have to rig up an old DVD player and plug it into a power inverter just to calibrate a compass? Ridiculous. It's an inconvenience and a serious design flaw.Aside from that, I have no other complaints. It looks like a factory mirror, the LCD video quality and brightness is excellent, and it was relatively easy to install.

Overall a good, unintrusive way to add backup cam to a vehicle without
The media could not be loaded. Good:*Retains all OEM functions (auto dimming, compass, outside temp)*Overall OEM look & feel*Backup display is *very* bright & clear*Decent instructionsNot so good:*Overall build feels a bit "cheaper" than OEM, joints have some splay in them and & the function button feels "loose" -- it does seem to hold its position so far, however*There is a yellowish/brownish tint to the mirror that isn't present in the OEM Gentex mirror*The mirror seems to have less vertical adjustment, or maybe mounts lower than the OEM mirror. I can *just* get it high enough to be in my sight line*Screen resolution is so-so. Picture is nice and bright but can be pixelated due to the resolution of the display. Its enough to see most objects but not great detailOverall a great product for someone like me who doesn't want to replace their head unit (or "radio") with a model with a display screen. The actual installation of the mirror isn't too hard, wires can generally be tucked up into the headliner, and for most vehicles it should fit the stock mirror mount. Power and signal wires can all be pretty easily run through the A-pillars down to the dashboard in most cars. The only connections needed for the mirror itself are a switched power source (you can bundle it with your head unit's red wire), and a signal wire. The signal wire should be run from your reverse light circuit, so putting the vehicle into reverse "triggers" the backup display to come on. I tapped into the wiring coming from the reverse light relay under the hood, rather than running a wire through the frame back to the tailights.

Highly recommended
The good:The manufacturing quality of this mirror is amazing. It's absolutely OEM - i.e., the quality that you would expect in a high-end vehicle. The flawlessness of the mirror glass itself, it's sensors, buttons & the auto-dimming function is outstanding. The compass & temp LEDs are clear, not-too-bright & in the right spot. The video screen is completely hidden until it turns on. The included mirror-mounting hardware and cable-routing / cable-hiding components are top notch. It also includes a temperature sensor at the end of a very long cable that you can route anywhere on the underside or front or back of the vehicle. Nice. Remote control is fine / quality. You can calibrate the temperature by 9 degrees, and you can calibrate the compass. You can turn the gridlines on or off. Did I mention this mirror is OEM quality?? It's really, really nice. Unit includes everything you need except for a camera. It was straight-forward to wire (I used a tap-a-fuse cable going into the radio fuse in the fuse box to have it function along with the radio). The bad:They should probably include a rear-view camera in this bundle / i.e., this, which is currently their top-end unit (They have to know that rear-view cameras are the number one reason people are buying this mirror, right? But it's not a big deal, it would just be nice to know that you have *everything* you need out of the box. Especially for first-time installers of this setup. But I digress. Let me continue...) The menu is only accessible via the wireless remote (so don't lose it!). The temperature gauge on mine is reading the outside air much higher than the actual ambient temperature (I have it mounted inside the engine compartment so I need to change locations to be sure it's not the engine temp that is causing this artificially high reading. But even when the car has been parked outside for hours, it still reads very high.) The compass is very hard to calibrate: You have to drive in a 5-meter circle (??) for 3 full rotations, at slower-than-walking-speed, to calibrate it. (My manual Jeep doesn't go that slow. Maybe I should push it! So I need to calibrate it again as it's not accurate. It seems to be off about 20-30 degrees from the actual direction I'm aiming in). The video has flicker (but I suspect this has to do with the camera and where I've routed the RCA cable in the car - i.e., near power and audio cables - more so than this has anything to do with the video screen itself. The menu on the video screen does NOT flicker - so again, it looks like this has to do with the video cable of the camera itself).Summary:I highly recommend this mirror! It was more expensive than most other units, but came with all the features I desired (and more) - and the quality was just outstanding! Competing units I researched had *terrible* grades on (F)akespot(dotcom) about their user reviews, so I was very fortunate to find this unit. If you are on the fence - go for it. It's a great unit!
