Star brite Mildew Odor Control Slow Release

Seems to work in apt when not there. No musty orders when return I put out several at a time with dehumidifier on timer

I have one car, a Mercedes E 320 sedan, that had a pervasive, if slight, musty smell, from being open to rain once. I was skeptical, since detailers had had no success, but one pack of this stuff and the car smells just breathtakingly fresh. One thing, the warnings seem to be mandated and written for some industrial strength product, not this one. The product has had zero effect on any surfaces that I can see. I left it in the closed car for two days, and then sat in. The only smell is a very mild aroma of Clorox. To me, anyway, it does not seem to be offensive or harsh to humans in any way. For another car, spoiled with commercial perfume sprayed in by a detailer, after one night the perfume is gone, and that car smelled like sickly sweet disinfectant at a bus stop. Too early to say about lasting results, but I like the idea of a gas that permeates and molecularly bonds where I can't get at to clean.

These do not work as well as the original which came with hanging bags and worked perfectly. These you put in the plastic containers. There are holes in the top of the plastic box for the air circulation which clearly could not work as well as the free hanging cardboard hangers. Even so, I use them in the boat over the winter storage and they do prevent mildew from forming. They also prevent mildew in our foggy summers. I use more than they say is required for the cubic footage I have. I took off a star for the new plastic containers and because the previous ones worked better. As for my closet, they did not prevent odors as well as the previous Star Brite hanging ones.
