ISOtunes PRO Aware Bluetooth Earbuds: Audio Passthrough Hearing Protection

Still works great.

Ive been using these for 2 weeks now. So far i like them. I couldn’t find a review that answered my 1 big question before I bought these. I wanted to know if you could have the aware turned on at the same time as your listening to your music. Yes you can have both turned on. You can certainly hear what all is going on around you and still hear your music. You can adjust the volume of either to “prioritize” either your music or your surroundings and there’s going to be a balance point where you can hear both. The battery hasnt died on me at work, including an 11.5 hour day. Are they perfect? No. With the aware on it does amplify both fans and moving air, sometimes enough that the aware starts to flicker on and off sounding like static. It was kind of annoying the first day or two but im use to it now and don’t really notice it. The bluetooth says connected just fine and i didnt have any problems pairing these up. Overall im very satisfied with this purchase. 1 piece of advice though, turn the aware off before going into the bathroom, you do not want to hear what everyone else is doing at 8x normal volume.

Rubbish

When they were working, I really liked the product. I purchase 3 pairs of the Pro Aware for our company after doing a bunch of research. I picked them for the long battery life and was really intrigued by the Aware Technology. The first set of headphones stopped working within three weeks, the left earbud wasn’t getting any audio. It took multiple requests to have a replacement shipped out. After receiving the replacement set the second and third pair died. One with the same left earbud issue and the other wouldn’t charge. Now the replacement is having the left earbud issue. The biggest disappointment is the customer service. I have attempted to contact Isotunes for a refund with no response. For context we are a small finishing carpentry crew that works mainly indoors.

I bought these based on many positive reviews. I expect a set of headphones marketed towards contractors and other careers where one isn't exactly in a safe lab environment. first pair fell apart within a week; right ear bud case split. return to Amazon. Second pair are here, now. two days outside of the Amazon return window, the left speaker starts cutting in and out. the foam ear pieces? the plastic lines are snapping, despite not bottoming out the threads. now I have to rma with manufacturer, and who knows how long I'll be without some pretty expensive headphones/hearing protection. noise cancelation is screwy. working around heavy equipment causes the noise cancelation to go crazy. onoffonoffonoffonoffonoffonoff like a machine gun, with a harsh snapping noise as it cuts in and out. same behavior is present in the Bud version does the same, so it's the "pro aware" technology. turning off noise enhancement, audio is okay. not loud, but actually isolated. sufficient bass, fairly clear mids and highs (I am Not an audiophile, fwiw).
