Get these on a dimmer. If you had old halogen lights just wait till you see these. Talk about daytime!

For transparency, I have to mention I measured wrong and had to return these due to user measuring error. Now having had an additional 2 different brands, just 1" larger in diameter (all that was available), I'm really disappointed that I couldn't find these exact same ones in 4" (what I actually needed). The quality is no comparison, these are top of the line. I hope you find that's the case for you.

These lights don't come with a box to make the electrical connection. You'll need to create your own (don't attempt to connect them without a box.) I used a shallow electrical box with a metal cover and a grommet. This box fit through the hole and sits in the ceiling. Doesn't cost much but requires a little effort.It's a great light other than the lack of a box. In particular, the springs are strong and hold the light securely to the ceiling.

I have been searching for some time for quality built LED recessed lighting when I ran across these and I am very pleased with the aluminum construction and the dimability of these lights. They look great over my fireplace (I used them as accent lighting). When making an opening for these lights, you must take the spring width into account, not a big deal, but if not the 2.5 inch opening is too small so go with a 2.8 inch opening.

They dimmed just fine. (used two different dimmers--both worked. There does seem to be a slight strobe when you get below 10% of dim, but I think any LED will do that.) I bought 2 packs of the warm white. They are pretty white--to white for what I was hoping for. Had no trouble with lights being different colors.

I bought the four pack only because I couldn't buy a 3 pack but glad I did as one of the lights is mislabeled as warm white, it is actually bright white which puts off a green hue on white walls.

They work great, good light output. I am getting flicker when dimmed, but it may be the dimmer. Connectors are very cheap, I wish I had placed the connectors and the entire controllers into an electrical box.

The lights work beautifully. I ordered the wrong one initially, but your company walked me through the return and sent the new ones immediately. I couldn't be happier. The light fixture came from Hong Kong with pure white LEDs that looked blue. I think these look so much better!
