My dog is 8 pounds and I got an XS and it was too short and a little bit tight and he’s pretty skinny so I sent it back and got a S and it’s it perfectly. So I would think the XS might well fit little guy. It is fairly adjustable it’s stretchy and you can tighten it up. Plus if it doesn’t fit, you can always return it so take a chance. Good luck!

Yes, I had to send back the xs and reorder the S and it seems to be working. We have been having thunderstorms every night this week and Jack has been sleeping in it. It seems to be calming him down. He comes out of it during the night but he sleeps in it.

I'd be worried it could be too tight and could restrict breathing. Make sure not too tight. If the dog is comfortable the fabric is very stretchy.
