GalcoCL652 Classic Lite Shoulder System for M&P Shield 9/40, 2.0 9/40, RH, Natural

This is my second Galco product purchase, so I was not surprised by the overall quality of the materials and design. Some complain that it is made from center-cut rather than top-grain leather, but I like the velvety feel of it. What has impressed me the most is how precisely the leather is cut. The break-in procedure Galco recommends using a freezer plastic bag is wise and works great. I have been using this rig nearly every day for months now, and it continues to perform perfectly. The ammo pouch holds the extended mag for my S & W 9mm perfectly snug. I was concerned that the leather might stretch a bit too much, causing pistol slop, but that has not occurred. The thumb break is exceptionally well-designed; holds the guns very securely, but is easily opened with one hand in a second, which is essential. This is extremely comfortable to wear. Adjusting it took about 20 minutes without a partner. But as Galco's videos show, if you can have a partner assist, you could have it adjusted in half that time, I think. The screws are well-made brass, as is typical for Galco. I haven't felt the need to secure them with clear nail polish, but that is certainly a fine idea. I also purchased the Jackass tie-downs, but I don't use them regularly. If I thought I might be involved in foot-pursuits, jumping over fences and such, I would probably use them. But for normal walking, etc., gravity works pretty dependably. Also, when I used the tie-downs, I may have had them adjusted a bit too short, because it made the overall rig feel too heavy as now the weight of my pants (and all the stuff in the pockets of my tactical pants) was now transferred to the shoulder rig.

Purchased the holster system for a Smith & Wesson Shield. The holster does take some time to break in and to fine tune the fitting. Once correctly fitted, I can comfortably carry all day. This is my first experience with this type of holster. I find the holster to be secure, comfortable and easily concealable.I normally wear the holster over an athletic style under shirt like an Under Armour. I've learned that wearing the holster over a loose cotton t-shirt will require frequent adjustment of the shirt and the holster.For me, I find the Galco Classic Lite to be a great alternative to IWB. I also feel I could comfortably conceal a larger frame/capacity firearm in this system that would be too difficult to conceal IWB.I have a number of holsters for a Shield in my collection. I use the Galco about 80% of the time and opt for an IWB the rest of the time.

I carry my walther pps m2 in this shoulder rig. I had to remove the rubber spacer to get it to fit. This has caused no issues. It's a perfect fit. I have small hands so I wish the snap to draw sat lower on the back of the pistol but with practice it is doable. It takes time to break in and I ended up adjusting the fit a few times. Well worth the patience.

Let me say first that this is a high quality product. The leather has an outstanding feel and the connectors are good. However, I had to send back because for me and my body type, a shoulder holster system did not work. Not a fault of the product at all, but it just did NOT conceal well. But if you have experience with shoulder holsters, and know they work for you, you won't be disappointed. My firearm fit tightly and did not wiggle around at all. I would never worry about it falling out or coming loose.

Awesome holster for mp shield take the time to wear and adjust i am 6.2 190 to 200 lbs covers well with medium weight flannel, button down, lite jacket very comfortable leave some buttons undone and practice drawing 7 round mag fits perfectly and use lip lock bag around gun for 24 hrs to stretch holster evryone wants to be bruce willis in die hard

Great Holster, was exactly what I expected with Galco product. Unfortunately I returned the item due to my over sight as my M&P 9 has a laser attached it would not fit in the holster. Other then my over sight Very Good Product and Highly recommend it, was disappointed I couldn't use it was exactly what i wanted light weight.

The leather is a bit flimsy, and slightly too small for a M&P Shield. Looking on the Galco website, the part number is different, for the same holster. I think this one is the old model, before they made improvements for the current model. I was shipped a Model-C652, while the Galco site only sells Model-CL652 for the M&P Shield. That is why I think there may be a new revised model.

i was able to watch a video on how to assemble and it was very easy. I followed their suggestion to wear a while before I trimmed the excess off of the strap. My shield 9mm fits in the holster nicely. Would highly recommend for shield owners.
