Well built and easy to assemble. Better than expected performance.
I bought this after experimenting with some cheap antennas just to see what was feasible. This antenna is getting solid everything in the area even with the amp off, which is a fair amount better than I expected. Very pleased.Be great if channel master would produce a model in this higher end series with UHF and high VHF, in the interest of lower wind loading .

Best Outdoor Antenna - really delivers what it promises
Recently bought the Channel Master -Masterpiece CM-5020 antenna. The intention was to cut the 'cord' ( stop paying for Satellite TV) Did research on the Channel Master website, which is very well constructed. Followed instructions to easily plug in my zip code, and located 54 TV stations available in my location. This included all networks (ABC,CBS,NBC, Fox, CW, PBS) as well as Grit,Antenna , Justice, Ion, Bounce,My TV,Laff, Escape, Cozi, Comet TV sub stations. PBS, is only 7 miles away, however rest of station towers were 33 miles or further away. I opted to also purchase the Channel Master CM7778HD preamplifier to strengthen these signals, as well a Channel Master Rotor to direct the antenna to each tower location. Installed the antenna on a pole mount app. 22 feet off the ground. I used the RCA Tower finder app. to get a good idea which way to point the antenna towards stations I wanted to recieve. This also enabled me to see what obructions may be in the way. The majority of station towers are located north west, which I located halfway down a hill, with an open haylot (35 acres) facing another hill with a heavy forested tree line. I also have an Oak tree that is just periphery catching the the edge of the visual signal line of sight. Installed the antenna during Memorial weekend. Connected all the cables, put antenna together (very easy) tested the amplifier , rotor, and turned on TV ( Antenna was laying on ground) ran a scan, and pulled in 16 stations ( mostly PBS,Ion, shopping network channels) Encouraged by this , mounted antenna and rest of hardware on mast, raised the mounted pole / antenna, using my John Deere tractor. Buried pole 4 ' deep. Completed all cable connections, Powered amplifier up, Rotor, TV, ran another channel scan and located 46 stations. To say that the wife was very pleased and I was a hero is and understatement. The picture quality is razor sharp, better than the HD channel pictorial quality with the satellite. We find that the sound quality is better and don't have to turn volume up as loud with the satellite. . We've eliminated a $60.00 dollar bill per month , getting rid of the satellite. Antenna has been operational for about 10 days now, we've had rain, wind, fog and have experienced no signal loss. We did have a bit of pixelation on two of the channels and that was corrected by moving the antenna direction using the rotor. I cannot thank Channel Master enough for the high quality of their product. We are 100% percent satisfied. The neighbors have been checking out our system and quite impressed. My wife said that I might have started a new fad in the neighborhood. Thanks Amazon & Channel Master!

Very good signal; rather large
Pros:- Receives good signal. I am 55 miles due north of Philadelphia and get all of the Philadelphia broadcast networks with strong signal most of the time. I also have a Channel Master high gain signal amplifier to boost the signal.- Heavy duty build. As you would expect from Channel Master, this unit is sturdy and looks build to survive all weather.- At this price point, why pay any of the streaming or cable TV providers for local channels ever again when you can pay once for your antenna equipment and be done paying for locals.Cons:- This is a large and bulky antenna, so if you are uncomfortable walking around on your roof, you should have a professional install it.- Due to the size of the unit, you may or may not be able to perform an installation in your attic.- As a combination VHF/UHF antenna, it is not the best at either.Other thoughts:For about 9 years, we have had a Channel Master 8-bay bowtie UHF antenna (CM4228) on our roof for UHF channels, and a RadioShack FM antenna for radio and for VHF channel 6 (Philadelphia's ABC affiliate). These antennas fed a single Channel Master signal amplifier with separate VHF and UHF inputs, which combines the signal while amplifying it. We were having frequent issues with reception of Channel 6. I was very hesitant to take down the CM4228 as the UHF stations all came in perfectly, but decided to try this VHF/UHF combo unit.To be clear, the UHF reception of this antenna does not match the CM4228 in my experience. However, it is good enough for my location. The VHF reception is only slightly better than the RadioShack FM antenna as far as Channel 6 is concerned. So I gained a little and lost a little by switching to this antenna.55 miles from the transmitters and with trees, mountains, etc. in our way, and with airplanes frequently in the skies above, I know that we will never have perfect reception at all times. No antenna can receive signal that does not exist. This antenna performs well and gets the signal that I would expect. If not for Channel 6, I would stick with the CM4228 or similarly designed 8-bay bowtie antenna since they seem to be the kings of UHF reception for those of us who are in the deep fringe for signal.
