Underrated Text for Shelf Exam
I'm a third year medical student who used this book during my Ob/Gyn rotation as reference and to study for the shelf. It has good explanations for basics like fetal monitoring, stages of labor, etc. It's comprehensive for shelf topics and is in a semi-outline format that I find much easier to ready than blocks of text. Between UWorld, UWise, and this book I aced the shelf. Only complaint is its hard to carry in white coat, but you can roll it in half and make it work.

Great Book for Clerkship and Shelf Exam
I bought this book and Blue Prints OB-GYN for my third year OB-GYN clerkship. I really liked this book. The layout makes it easy to read. Topics are listed in bullet point format with high yield information on the side columns. I would not use this book alone for the shelf. I feel that each book offered some study tips that the other did not have. Much of it was repeated in Blue Prints. If I had to choose one book, I would choose Blue Prints. I don't regret buying it. I read it entirely and felt it did help me on the exam.

Good OB/GYN Clerkship review text
I'm a medical student who used this book during my OB/GYN clerkship. I really liked the short and concise format. If you like the First Aid Series for USMLE Step 1, you will also like this text. It has a good breadth of coverage of the material as well as helpful pneumonics and illustrations. I also used Blueprints for Ob/Gyn - while I liked it as well it is much more in-depth and for a quick read First Aid for the Ob/Gyn Clerkship is a much better text.

Short but thorough
This book is everything you need for your clerkship. Seriously. I do not like to use lengthy text books, and I found with hands-on experience in the hospital and then reading this book to supplement or reinforce your knowledge, you are sure to be successful!

Great Book - Easy Read - Excellent Seller
I am using this book for my OBGYN rotation for PA school. I find it very easy to read and very helpful. I love the highlighted boxes in the margins that illustrate important points, given acronyms, and common exam questions. The book was shipped very quickly and it was in great condition just as the seller had described! I would recommend this book to anyone in the medical profession that is going to do a rotation or internship in OBGYN.

This edition is a bit outdated for some of the definitions and screening guidelines. Just be aware of some conflicting information in that regard

Almost There
Lacks a section about breast cancer/masses. Technically not the best source for preparing for the surgical side of OB/GYN, the anatomy review is light and there's not enough images on that topic. Would not use this to prep for the wave of pimping that would happen in the OR, may be okay for outpatient situations, though.Otherwise, the book covers just about everything else-- probably a little too in depth in cancer, but there is a decent amount on infections and even some urogyn. Would only buy this if you like having textbooks and have another resource to consult for the topics mentioned above. May change my review depending on how the NBME goes.Update: Got the score I wanted, but definitely wouldn't have gotten there without the addition of UWorld. TLDR for this product is to get it and read it the weekend before the clerkship if you feel like you need a refresher.

Great for OBGYN Clerkship / MBBS in the UK
I bought this book for an OBGYN clerkship in the USA. It was very useful as it is quite detailed in comparison to some books we use in the UK. The format is good, easy to read with little blurbs on the side for important things to remember. It helped me with my rotation in the UK as well, however some things such as booking bloods and when tests are done etc will differ slightly.
