The Rolling Stones Singles 1963-1966 [7" Single Box Set]

Glad to see The Rolling Stones have been given the royal treatment on their 45rpm releases including the cover artwork on the U.K. releases. I had a few of the original 45's. i my early teens.

The media could not be loaded.  It's a phenomenal box set. Each single has a hard cover case to it and there's posters. There's pitchers. There's all kinds of member view of your stuff in there. It's really a nice box that.

ABKCO did a great job with these! Seems they followed the playbook from the Beatles singles box set, a couple years back. Picture sleeves are beautifully printed on heavy duty stock. The records are on VERY heavy vinyl, seems heavier than 180 gram to me. They are so thick, they almost feel like 78's when you take them out of the sleeves! The plus side to that is, no warps, very flat. Labels are all period correct London and Decca "look a likes". Nice to have both UK and American versions of some of the singles. I have not listened to them yet, I am sure they are from digital masters. Not that it will really matter, as most people will buy this as a collectable, not to play them. My only two gripes would be, one, they used the small hole format, instead of the US larger hole (just like the Beatles box set). Second ,would be the price, at almost $10.00 per single, seems a bit excessive.

A terrific boxed set of all US issued Stones vinyl 7 inch singles up to 1966. The vinyl quality & packaging is excellent so what is left to say? Well the recordings are taken from the US master tapes so some tracks are Mono, some Stereo. I won't bore you with a long list which is which & the liner notes won't give you that information, so surf the web. Does it make a difference, not really on these early Stones outings chronicling the rise from an R & B cover band to worldwide domination with Satisfaction. ( I have the Mono Stones Box Set & can assure you that at this stage in their career it made little difference due to their primitive style of recording). My one grouch is that the run in groove is too small, much smaller than the originals, so watch where you place that stylus folks!

Yes I've seen the YouTube videos of this set and yes it is neat. I have not yet had the time to compare the recordings to the originals of which I have some. So if 45s are your thing you will most certainly be thrilled that this came out. I am sure it will be a collectors item.

nice set to own

I have ordered, returned, and received replace of this box set. The vinyl is great, the sleeves are awesome. But the packaging from Amazon is terrible. I am a collector and often try to carefully cut vinyl plastic so that I can leave it on to preserve hype stickers, and protect the sleeve. Both times the plastic wrap has been pretorn randomly and each corner of the box set been mashed because of the lack of padding in shipping. If I was a reseller I could not sell this, and it is not as appealing as a gift either. As a collector with an appreciation for detail and care, I have been let down by Amazon's packaging. The vinyl itself is a nice box set though.

Cominciamo subito nel dire una cosa,di questo prodotto,di questa confezione mi e` piaciuto tutto niente da ridire o criticare .E` magnifico aprirla,toccarla prima.La metti nei scaffali preferiti la osservi.I singoli ,gli E.P. , o.k. ,grazie ad alcune antologie li conosci ma averli li a portata di mano ; libidine .Si probabilmente sono un feticista del vinile , non so cosa dire,scusate,scrivere.Addirittura ha il nastrino per estrarre tutto il contenutoLa ABCKO ha fatto realizzato un cofanetto da urlo!!!!FANTASTICO!

Bought this Vol 1 box set on 7" Vinyl and can't wait for volume 2 to be released on the 2nd of February. Good to get this Vol 1 of the Rolling Stones 1963 to 66 on singles brand new.

die stones haben in den 60ern ja eine reihe wunderbarste LPs aufgenommen, von der ersten bis zu let it bleed - das jahrzehnt brachte das beste im rock and roll hervor. doch das ganze, sozusagen die highlights auf singles durchzuhören, macht echt freude. die box ist wunderbar designt, inklusive schönem poster der 5 am flughafen... ein gutes begleitheft liegt ebenso bei. ja, der preis ist jetzt nicht günstig, aber doch angemessen.
