Solid 5 stars!
This is a solid 5 star, $50 book. It's only priced at about $25, but it's one of those books that they could charge $50 for and people would still flock to buy it. I am a newbie photographer - only one year into studying it in school and only about 5 months in to practicing in a serious way. This book is great for newbies and experts, because it has 52 projects that are all pretty unique. A few repeat themselves a bit (like flowers - how many ways can you do those? They show you!), but overall I think it's the best photography book I've purchased - and I've purchased quite a few!I love that the book shows you the end product, as well as how to achieve it using your camera and editing programs. It breaks it down step by step and even has screenshots of the editing. It really is perfect!

good mix of simple and complex
Make sure you have version of photoshop. Elements would work I think. Nice mix of inside and outside projects. Several require a speedlight.

Great Book For Learning Advanced Photography Techniques - Well Explained
I have been a advanced amateur photographer for 40 years and have traditionally used film cameras. I've won photo club contests, been published, and frequently photographed family weddings and get togethers. Over the past 10 years I've transitioned to also use digital cameras but have not experimented with Photoshop Elements very much, just a bit.I borrowed this book from the library yesterday and liked it so much I bought a copy today. I like the modeling setups, camera settings, use of filters and reflectors, and model poses shown in the book. Each of the 52 photo shoots is thoroughly explained as well as the in-lab (computer) modifications and adjustments using Photoshop Elements.Since most of the shoots are valid for either film or digital cameras it is easy to take what I already know and extend it to digital work. I think this book would also be valuable for a beginner with a good DSLR. The only things not covered are astrophotography and underwater photography.Current film cameras: Minolta X-700, Nikon F4, Nikon FE2, Voightlander Bessa - R & Nikon N80. I continue to shoot film.Current digital cameras: Nikon D80 & 8 Nikon lenses, and Olympus Pen & 5 lenses (4 are Minolta MD with adapter)

Outstanding Book
52 Weekend Digital Photo Projects is a book by the staff of Digital Photo Magazine. This book features projects which are categorized from Easy to Difficult but most of them can be perfomed with no special equipment. It gives a lot of fresh ideas if you are lacking in some. Each projects gives the details of equipment required, mostly you can find at home, and the camera settings. I recommend this book to all the photography enthusiasts who need some fresh ideas and at the same time learn some new stuff.

Good Ideas but a lot of post editing.
Good ideas for projects. Insightful ideas that can be expanded on. Only issue is that almost all the projects call for post editing with photoshop. If you don’t have photoshop or any program then a number of these projects will not be applicable to you.

Good inspiration for times like these
Perfect quarantine book there are quite a few projects you can do inside or in your yard etc. I was looking for some low cost inspiration for my photography. This book has a good amount of how-to information with every project and honestly is good for any level of photo skill... I've been a working photographer for 15 years and I found things I would like to try and about a third of the book I've already done over the years.

Progression made easy . . . and enjoyable
This book is thought-provoking and interesting and will provide hours of entertainment and learning. The projects are explained in detail with lots of pictures and clear, concise instructions on how to achieve the effects you're aiming for; the modus operandi seems to be mainly based on a Nikon although some of the detail shows a Canon in the photos. I'm a Canon user but have recently acquired a second-hand Nikon so it will be ideal for me to learn how to use the latter. If you're not a Nikon user, have your camera manual handy if you don't fully know your way round your camera although there is a section at the back of the book that deals with the main points. Not a book for a total beginner but if, like me, you more or less know the basics, want to go further but are not quite sure how to, I would thoroughly recommend this book.

Good range of projects
Fully met expectations. Bought as 'used', but in almost 'new' condition. Good range of projects. Relies on 'post camera' Photoshop manipulation a little too much.

Interested in photography? buy this book.
I first saw this book in an high-end department store and didn't buy it, a decision I regretted later. After searching for the book on amazon and finding it at this price I immediately ordered it. This book not only targets the beginner but also the more experienced photographer. I would challenge anybody not to learn something from this book. If you are considering taking up photography and joining the digital explosion this book is for you. No, I don't have shares in the book, I just think it has been very thoughtfully constructed for all levels of photographics ability.
