Gardena Stand-Up Weed Puller with Built-in Ejector, Long Handle - 03518

Watched some reviews on different models glad i did this worked the best in the videos so I bought it and love it. Actually makes pulling dandelions, and broadleaf fun. It's not going to be good for clover since it is so wide spread but anything with a center root will be pulled. Almost always gets the entire big dandelion root. Cuts into the ground and twists 180 degrees easily and removes the plug rather easy. If you rotate 360 the plug can be hard to punch out of the puller but sometimes if the dandelions very large I will still do a 360 to make sure we have a tight hold of the root. Highly recommend

I initially bought a 4 claw knock-off of the Fiskars puller that you can see in my review and intended to buy the Fiskars to replace it, but saw this beat the Fiskars convincingly on youtube, so I grabbed this instead. This has an upgrade from version I've seen with the push button in the center of the handle to release the weeds (it's now shotgun style) and works well. I pulled about 200-300 weeds so far and maybe missed the root on 2 or 3. Worked well on dandelions, Canadian thistle, perennial sow thistles that were taller than me, and even a few small trees. It also tends to leave the dirt/clay in a more solid clump I can usually place back in the hole after removing the weed from it, which the other puller did not. Sometimes, I get the best result doing a few circles around the weed to really free the soild, if it puts up a fight I twist back and forth in a bunch of quick half circles

from my research its probably still the best option, but it still doesn't get the whole root sometimes. Granted could be due to growth on an angle and i cut it off or missed the center properly. Had several weeds grow back from the holes they originally came out of because of roots on the side. And they got better watering from rain due to the hole it left. Again, in some ways on a successful weeding, it also provided irrigation to the lawn by leaving that hole. Overall, I like it better than putting chemicals in the lawn even if its only 80% efficient vs spraying.

As I am now almost at retirement age, I can no longer manage to get down on my knees to dispense of the weeds on my yard. My wife suggested I get one of the weed removing tools where you stand up. I never even thought about that and I was not eager to spend between $35-$50 either. After watching a few videos of the Gardena weed puller, I had to get it. It is expensive on the higher end but it so worth the price. The tool looks very impressive and does not take up too much space in your shed. It is solid feeling and has a nice heft to it. All you do is line up the blades over the weed and turn. Lift it and trigger the ejector and you are rewarded with a pulled out weed on the ground. YOu have the plastic blade guards to keep everything safe and undamaged. This beats getting low to the ground. Best weed puller that I was looking over and got it = no regrets - just get it!

As a Master Gardener with some back issues, I needed a tool to help minimize my time being hunched over in the garden. This tool is sturdy, and helps remove the entire root from weeds. Easy to use and extremely helpful. It’s built for life, and is continuously used in the garden for weed management/maintenance.

My new favorite garden tool! Perfect for extracting crabgrass or weeds that have a central root from hard to reach places. I always had trouble getting rid of seedling trees that were growing in my juniper or under my boxwood shrubs, but with this its so much easier!! Works best if in an area where it can be turned 365 degrees without catching the foot extension.

The design is excellent and the quality is great. Some of the other tools i tried seem laughable after using this one. I'd buy it again, but something tells me this one is going to last a while.

This device made too many potholes in my lawn and did a poor job of removing dandelions and other weeds. The tip of my garden hoe pulled weeds and roots out with much less damage to the lawn. I regret this purchase.

Très pratique et d’utilisation facile

If you don't like dandelions and similar type of weeds, and want to save your back, get the Gardena weed puller 🥹 Seriously! After moving from a low-maintenance condo to a house, I spent 45 back-breaking minutes bending over with a mini shovel trying to remove weeds. Decided to go back inside the house and research alternatives because I wasn't built for that kind of physical labour 😅: that's how I came across the Gardena weed puller. As others have mentioned, you can remove huge dandelions and weeds in about 20% of the time it would take to do it manually (assuming you remove weeds with the entire roots intact) and physically the Gardena weed puller makes the job sooo much easier. I also really like the foot rest so you can help push the blade into the ground rather than using your arm strength to do it (some competitive weed pullers I considered did not have the foot rest). This tool is really easy to use: insert the blade ideally into the centre of the weed, push the blade all the way into the ground using the foot rest, twist the tool 180 degrees (for huge weeds I sometimes twist 360 degrees to wrap the entire weed around the blade) and pull upwards to remove the weed from the ground. The only "drawback" is that it does leave a hole in the ground (some soil/earth is removed along with the weed)....however, I see it as a positive since the hole is essentially aerating your lawn to help grow thicker, lusher lawn 👌🏼 Love my Gardena weed puller.

Comprato come usato, ma assolutamente nuovo nella confezione originale; arrivato nei tempi previsti. Attrezzo molto ben fatto: lame in acciaio robusto da 3 mm, maniglie in plastica anti scivolo, staffa saldata al tubo in modo molto robusto anch'essa antiscivolo, sistema a molla di espulsione dell'erba che, come detto in altra recensione, conviene attivare prima di estrarre le lame per lasciare un po di terra nel buco. Il buco che rimane è di circa 4 cm ma l'area che rimane scoperta dipende anche dall'erba che è stata tolta e non solo dall'attrezzo. Soddisfatto pienamente dall'acquisto.

Great quality, welds are strong. Easy to use even in my clay soil, just make sure ground is moist. I turn it 180 one way and then 360 the other, this works best for me. It does leave a hole in the lawn but that's a bonus for me, as I fill the hole with compost which helps aerate my clay soil.
