I bought these to help my small kids (ages 2 and 3) with their motor skills. We have another set that is wooden, but it seems to frustrate them. These are chunky, plastic pieces that are a great size for small kids. My two year old can easily move the nut along the bolt in both directions. We're working on making it spin on the bolt using more than just one finger, but these keep him focused longer than I thought they would. My kids don't chew on these, but they are a harder plastic if that's a concern for you. Also, be aware that while the picture on the product page is accurate in that there are six sets of nuts and bolts, the overall package is smaller than I imagined and what I received varied slightly from the picture. But I'm still very happy with what I received and highly recommend this set for anyone wanting to work on fine motor skills or for those with kids that like to see how things work.

Good value for the money

Great toy for church since it’s quiet. Colors, shapes, counting, towers. I love a toy that can be played with many ways. Would buy again. Convenient carrying case too.

This is a good toy for use to improve a toddler’s dexterity…but I would say it’s good for teething as some pieces could cause issues for babies. It helped my grandson (18 months) with learning how to screw and unscrew things. The packaging could be sturdier but at this price point it is acceptable.

Great for working on fine motor skills. My only suggestion for improvement would be a more durable bag.

My son loves to play with tools. He was so excited to for these colorful nuts and bolts. He plays with them at his tool bench and pretends to fix things around the house.

I bought these for my grandson when he was about 18 months to start teaching him how to lace beads. These are a good option for learning to lace because they are big enough for small hands to grasp and manipulate. He is now 28 months and we have used these beads not only for lacing, but also to practice stacking, colors, and sorting! I am so glad I bought them for him because they are definitely worth it and my grandson loves them! I would definitely recommend them.
