Great looking and smooth out of the Box i have used it on both analogue and dcc and not disappointed by either worked equally well

Disaster of a train set. Do Not buy
Disaster of a Christmas morning. Purchased this for my autistic 8 year old son who is a train enthusiast. Paid €230 worked for less than 30 seconds. Controller is like something from a €20 train set. Has 3 separate people look at it on Christmas morning as he was so upset. All said the same waste of money. When I started the refund with Amazon they offered me €16eur to not refund d or send back. Yet another insult for a Christmas ruined

Fat controller sacked!
The engine itself is beautiful. The controller failed after one good run around the track. Cheap and nasty. Come on, Hornby, you're supposed to be the best!

Poor build quality
Very disappointed. Controller has stopped working and the coupling rods on the engine have bent so wheels no longer turn. Very disappointing as I have hornby trains that still work and are over 30years old, this one has lasted 10months. Poor build quality.
