Being in the car business I have certainly been around much heavier better quality bags. But for the money these are great for individual use. I have been using them for short test drives and they make life much simpler. The fit is good although my preference would be for them to be a bit wider. The overall quality though is good. The strap is fine for my needs. If you are planning to use them for multiple long distance drives (like a DX) you may want to go with something a bit heavier.
