Lenox Entertain 365 Sculpture Low Dinner Bowl, White

One of the plates was broken but I didn't discover it until all the shipping paperwork was thrown out.

The set arrives very well packed in cardboard, and the "Entertain 365" stickers inside the bowls come off easily without leaving any sticky residue to clean off (yay!). First commment from the cooks in the house were along the lines of, "Hmmm -- the corners mean it will be difficult to mix things in them, so they're for serving food, not preparing it." Fair enough. The cooks' second comment was: "The fact that they're rectangular will mean they take up less room on the table -- very nice." And yes, they take up less room, making for a 'less-cramped / more relaxed' dining atmosphere. A definite plus!Likes: Sturdy. Easy to clean. Smaller footprint on the dining table. The design works well for both casual or more formal settings. (LOVE that last one). Let's the *food* get hot in the micro --- the bowl doesn't absorb the microwaves (BIG plus).Dislikes: Two of the three bowls have identical patterns, the third (smaller) bowl has a different pattern. Not even sure if that's an official 'dislike,' it's just not what the cooks in the family expected. Other than that, nothing to dislike.So here's the family consensus: Quality: 5 stars. Durability: 5 stars. Practicality: 4.5 stars. Attractiveness: 5 stars. Usability: 5 stars.Bottom line: We like 'em a lot!

I feel this Lenox setting is of high quality because the edges and surfaces are so smooth. I don't notice any bumps or flaws. They have a nice bright white color. The "surface" style has a design that looks like a brick or woven basket. This set comes with a larger plate, smaller plate, bowl, and a cup, which is one setting. This gives the option to buy just the amount of settings you need for your family as each setting are all sold separately/individually. The handle of the cup is very dainty so that's the only fragile part. It also came with paperwork with a program to replace them over time in case they become damaged. The finish is tough and I've had no problems with chipping over the months I've been using them.

I grew up with Lenox placesettings as a mainstay during the holidays and formal dinners (we recently added on with the classic Autumn place settings) and the China Jewels nativity, so was eager to try the Entertain 365 Sculpture rectangular place setting.My observations: The pieces have a good weight to them, and the design brings to mind the Villeroy and Boch "squiggle" plates. However, I felt the basketweave embossing was not deep enough (a couple of millimeters more and it would have much more visual impact). The color didn't bother me so much as other reviewers (who described it as a "dirty white" or grey), and overall the pieces look great on the table (although as others have mentioned, the salad plate is quite small and perhaps best suited to appetizers or finger foods; the trim takes up a good deal of the edge of the plate, leaving the usable space fairly small).But my overall impression was that the set looks more like cheap "starter" china that you might buy at Target for your first college apartment (been there, done that) and doesn't seem to merit the high price tag, especially as it is manufactured in China.

We have several patterns in the Lenox Entertain 365 series and love that they can be mixed/matched for a variety of looks/feels from playful to formal, depending on your linens and place setting choices.The 2 Piece Entertain 365 Sculpture Platter SetThese platters are relatively small (the small one is approx 9" and the large 12") and much of that length is taken up by the border on the platters, so the usable space is considerably less than that. Still they are a clean, simple elegant design.Sculpture Rectangular Place SettingThis is a great blend of classic Lenox design and modern conveniences (dishwasher safe/microwave safe) with a stylish twist. The eggshell white of the Sculpture line makes it a nice crisp pop of light against almost any tablecloth/placemats and they are just begging for a brightly colored napkin to add balance and an elegant touch to a place setting.

This serving set is beautiful!The pieces are actually bigger than I had anticipated. The largest one can easily hold enough food for 4-6 people. It would make a great popcorn bowl as well.Even the small bowl is large enough to hold nuts, candy, any bite-size snacks for parties or Netflix nibbles.The shape of each bowl is rectangular-ish, with the longer sides oval, and the ends straight. They are designed with a different type of delicate basket weave on each piece. This set is classy enough for entertaining, yet practical for everyday use.Also included is a registration card to save 50% on replacement pieces in case of breakage.Add to all this the fact that they are microwave and dishwasher safe, and you have the perfect set of serving bowls.

I like this set as far as it goes. I find that the bowl is a nice size at 16 oz. and the mug is also large enough, at 12 oz.This is porcelain, which is a little bluer in tone than bone china. I think that for the price this would be a very good choice for a person just starting out in an apartment, beginning to collect china and tableware. I am a fan of bone china over porcelain. That is just a question of taste.I admit, as well, that the subtle basketweave pattern didn't do a thing for me when I saw it in person.I really love china perhaps someone else will like this more than I do. I do think that the set is very well made.
