6 month update. Still like it I have not had a single issue with it like others have said. I work 12 hour shifts. I recommend it and have recommended it to my buddies who have since baught it so I think that says alot there alone. Installed easily on my duty belt in seconds with no issues. My belt is a 2" and I had no problems at all. The mechanism seems to work fine and seems easy to work. I am curious how easy it is to knock off or bump the buckle open. If its anything like the one on my watch I wont have any issues with that though. Let's see how it holds up this work week. I do like that it's not painted black for sure.

Bought a duty belt from Bianchi, and the buckle didn't even survive shipping, let alone duty use. I was in a pinch and needed one fast and this had next day delivery. Cost almost as much as the belt but it'll probably outlast it. Excellent quality.

Once all gear is on it's difficult to use when you can't exactly see it when fastening. It's a give and take. I picked this up because I didn't like how the molded fastener/ buckle I was using twisted a little when putting it on which made it so I had to be extra sure my duty belt was actually fastened after it "clicked." The downside to this style is you have to be certain to depress the release levers EXACTLY at the same time or the release will catch hampering the release or connection. The pro is that I know once it's fastened it's not going to come undone amid heavy use and abuse.

I purchased a pair of these buckles to replace the plastic ones on my kayak rack hanging from the ceiling of my garage. I had an overloaded car rooftop box hanging and was aware I was past the weight restriction when the plastic buckles failed. These buckles are practically perfect in every way. They were easy to install on my 2" straps and hold tight. They are designed so that everything is flush on the inside, from the buckle attachment to where the strap threads through. I am impressed with the thoughtfulness of the design. One reviewer complained the quick release does not work well. When there is no pressure on the buckle, it releases quickly and easily. When there is a lot of pressure on the buckle, it won't release at all. That is exactly the way I want it. I am extremely satisfied with this buckle and would definitely purchase it again.

I bought a Cobra belt buckle since the buckle that I used kept coming undone if I bent down. After I bought the Cobra belt buckle those issues went away.
