Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their fathers death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justins patented J-Flex Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the .Standard Of The West Since 1879..

HIS SECOND PAIR OF THESE CLUNKY BOOTS.
ATTENTION to buyers: when you click on these ORIGINAL work boots make SURE that your cart does not show you are selecting the STEEL TOE.This happened to me. I went back in and tried the process again and the same thing happened. Selected ORIGINAL ... and STEEL TOE pops up in my cart. so thats what we got and sent back with a notice of the page content error. Amazons link must have been, or still be, connected to the wrong product. after I notified them I got a response so I hope this has been fixed. I ended up abandoning my attempt to buy the Original Boots on Amazon that day tho, and found the same ones on workbooks.com. My husband likes these clunky boots and says they are comfortable. He wears a 14 so we will have to add on to our mud room. This is his second pair. Sometimes I almost can't open the back door if they are parked just inside! He literally walked out of the first pair he wore them so much. There is an insole which is quite nice and gives cushion.Choosing comfort over style, the green ones will do him just fine for a couple of more years of every day outdoor work. He wouldn't be able to get a pair of spurs around the heel. Like I said they are clunky. Each to his own!

Not Terrible
These aren't quite what I was hoping they'd be. One of them looks OK, but the other one has a weird patch of discolored leather that's all frayed looking.Definitely safety toe, and the boot is labeled steel toe, so I have no reason to doubt it. Pretty comfortable for steel toe, I didn't feel it at all after wearing them all day. These are pretty much the look I was going for, kind of a dressy work boot, but the quality seems to leave a bit to be desired. Time will tell, I'll update if anything changes.-------Update: October 2017I've had them for five months now, and I've enjoyed owning them. I mostly walk around our facilities, coated concrete floors, etc. The boots are worn every day, but they don't get much abuse.Last week the frayed section of leather (that I noticed upon receiving the boots) lost its metal shoelace grommet, so now I'm pulling on the leather, and it's probably a matter of time before the boot is useless. This confirms my suspicion that the particular section of leather was bad news from the beginning. I've attached a photo of the boot brand new and also one from today. They seem like good boots, I probably just got some bad leather.

Nice Boots - But they run at least 1 full size, maybe 1.5 sizes, too large.
The boots arrived today, and as soon as I opened the box, they looked HUGE! Tried them on, and they felt huge. My toes ended about 2 inches from the end of the toe box. I normally wear an 11 to 12, with about 1/2 my shoes being 11.5, in wide size. I find the "better" brand names, like Nike, Adidas and North Face all fit small, with even size 12 not fitting some times, and also generally too narrow. So I am returning the size 11 I bought, and replacing them with a size 10. Hopefully that will fit better. I'll follow up once they arrive. Otherwise, the width feels great and with the square toe box, lots of room for the toes. The leather looks nice, but is darker than the stock photos on the listing. Plus, once they get oiled, they will get even darker. They also come with little leather flaps, to attach to the bottom lace, if you like the frilly touch. So for comparison, I lined up a bunch of my current shoes and boots and measured the overall lengths. I know, not the best judge of size, but thought it might help others figure out the size of these things. I added the US size, and the euro size, if available. Comfortable and sharp looking boots that protect.
Very nice looking boots, durably constructed for toe and electrical shock protection. A little stiff, requiring break in for a day or two, but not so much as to cause discomfort from wearing all day long on the first day. They are not oil soaked for waterproofing allowing break in creases in the leather to show (which I think enhance the boots look). Boot sole is a little stiffer than dress boots, more along the lines of hiking boots.Only con so far, the laces are much too long and smooth, meaning they will become untied unless you double knot.My picture shows a week of wear.

Great boots
Overall satisfied with these boots. We did end up buying them locally after returning 2 pairs because of sizing issues as they run a little small. The vendor was awesome, processing refunds very quickly. The boots did take a few days to break in. I would recommend wearing knee high socks during the break in time as they did cut up the legs a bit but once broken in, they are very comfortable.

Great fit finish look and value
I like this boot, but almost returned after I tried it on at first. I ordered 1/2 size larger than norm and an extra 1 width wider. Very uncomfortable at first. I gave an hour walking in house on rugs and an hour walking on farm the next day, and now they're great! Took some breaking in for me, great comfort and style. Well made also. I would have liked a softer inner lining towards the top of the boot because as with any boot they're going to rub on your inner calf skin a little. You either get used to it and don't notice after a few days or wear a higher boot sock. The color and quality of the leather and stiching is nice. Had about 10 days now and I'm very pleased. These boots as far as I can see personally and in reviews run pretty true to size, but boot fits are a little different than shoe or running shoes fit and feel, so if say your comfortably snug in a running shoe 11, you may be ok but may want to consider a 1/2 size larger, don't overdue over size ordering with them though.
