Another gripping read from this author
Another triumph of a story! So many twists and turns and ends with a cliffhanger too!

Great Book but need to review Geography!
A good story, with flashbacks (a format I don't usually like but here are fine) and a very likeable main character in DI Ruth Jones. I love that the story is set in my native North Wales, and Northern Ireland but please revisit your knowledge of North Wales Geography before making statements that are simply impossible/not true! I now live in the New Forest in Hampshire but I go to North Wales a few times a year to visit family and friends who live there, primarily on Anglesey, and I find myself checking out some of your statements just to reassure myself that I'm not going mad!

Exceptionally good, but read in order.
Just finished the second book in the series. Would recommend that you read in order as the first 50 pages are used to set up this novel and review book one. When you get into it, it’s another great read. Can’t recommend books 1 and 2 highly enough. Onto book three.

Gripping storyline
I have to say I'm getting slightly fed up with whole paragraphs being lifted and copied word for word from the previous book, for example a car chase. However, much as I thought I was being distracted from the plot, the storyline won and overall an enjoyable book

Another excellent read 📚
This is episode 2 in Simon McCleave's 4 book Anglesey Series and it's another gripping read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put my Kindle down!DI Laura Hart has rejoined the force and is based in her hometown of Beaumaris on Anglesey. The police get an anonymous tip-off about a buried body near some ancient ruins. This then becomes a complex investigation also involving the IRA and MI5. In parallel, Laura is struggling with her relationship with fellow DI Gareth....If you liked the previous book in the series, then I rather think you'll enjoy this one too 😉 😄

Enjoyable read, but let down by the detail in places
It is quite a while since I read the first book in this series, so it took a little while to get back into the characters involved. Unfortunately I found some issues which affected my enjoymeny of this book. Some things just seemed wrong to me, and other things should have been corrected at the proof reading stage. I've read a fair few of this author's books, and I don't remember the others having similar issues.1. If you have the first 7 digits (which later became the first 5 digits) of a bank card number, I doubt that the first 7 (or 5 ) digits of a 16 digit card number are sufficient to uniquely identify the card holder2. When looking at old missing persons cases, surely the hieght of the missing person is on record - the police would not go round to the persons relatives for this basic information 20+ years later, would they?3. "Her and John were having..." is just grammatically incorrect - it should be "She and John were having...". If you expand it out you get "Her was having... and John was having...", which is just wrong

Secrets and lies.
Having helped out in a hostage situation in the previous book on this series, three years after resigning, Laura finds herself getting ready for her first day back as a DI.Her secret love interest is her new boss, but they have agreed to keep it to themselves. When she arrives at CID, having introduced her to the other members of the team, DI Gareth Williams, her new boss states they are having a quiet spell at the moment, Laura Hart immediately tells him that he is tempting date using the Q word.Gareth laughs until one of the team takes a call regarding a dead body at a historical site, confirmation follows. As does the report of another corpse - a well known member of the Real I.R.A. where will this lead? Are the murders connected?A twenty year old disappearance, undercover ops , and the reappearance of someone whose funeral Laura had attended three years ago.Another excellent book from Simon McCleave, an outstanding author , whose characters are human with all the quirks, failings, and endearing qualities we find in those we know and love.Recommended.

Intriguing page turner
Laura is at her first day back as a police detective in several years since the death of her husband, Sam. A tip comes to the station that a skeleton has been found at the ruins of a castle. Once she starts investigating Laura starts receiving threats to stop her inquiries. Then more dead bodies start turning up...are they connected to the skeleton? And if so how and why? Good page turner

incredible read
I have read and enjoyed everything that Simon has published. All books to date have been very good reads. They were very well written, good character development and lots of winding plots that they keep the reader riveted. This latest book, In Too Deep, is by far, his best effort. Such a complex but credible story line. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I can’t wait for the next instalment in the series.

WELL DONE SIMON
Another great story in this series, just loving DI Hunter. I wish I had gone over the Menai bridge on my trip to Wales.

Page Turner!
What a page turner, and with a surprise ending to the story as well as a leading to a sequel. Mystery fans will love it!
