This thing was an absolute nightmare to put together. It comes with three poles that you link together to make the correct size for your pool and 1 comes inside the other with one by itself. The two that were together were completely stuck so my husband has to you a board and hammer against the free one to be able to push it out the other side. Then we had to pull the one he beat him back out because they were supposed to be 6 ft on each side for my pool size. The instructions for the reel part were also horrible but he figured those out decent. Now that we have the cover on it does crank but the cover will bunch up in the middle so we have to unroll it again to roll it back up straightened out. All in all it was a pain and still is!

Fantastic product. Would have given it 5 stars but you almost need to be a rocket scientist to decipher the directions (what there was) and assembleit. Fortunately my husband came close enough. Once put together I have no complaints, it is very easy to use. One person can handle it.

High quality, durable and absurdly easy to roll and unroll. Very impressed with operation on a relatively heavy 16 mil 36x16 cover. It took hours to assemble but the instructions were absolutely clear.

Seems like a sold sturdy reel that has a nice low profile. Assembly is not for the faint of heart but not awful if you take your time, follow the instructions and have the right tools.Fyi....may arrive in separate shipments.
