Extremely versatile light for content creators
I'm really picky about lighting. I've reworked the lighting in my office I don't know how many times and I still think it's not quite right. Same with lights for photos and videos. I've gone through so many I've lost count. This one is a keeper. It is extremely versatile and most importantly puts out a nice bright light for videos and photos. It couldn't be easier to use. It charges with a USB cord but the unit I received was already completely charged. A recessed button on the back of the unit turns it on and off and changes modes. You can fine tune your light with what they call the 'shuttle knob' on the back. The knob serves several functions--changing brightness, changing color warmth and changing colors in RGB mode. It only took me a few minutes to get a handle on how to get the light into specific modes and how to adjust it when I got there. It has cold shoe mounts on the top and sides and a universal 1/4 screw for tripods, etc. I put it on a small tripod for testing (the one in the photos isn't included) and it fit perfectly and didn't require any tinkering. This further enhances the versatility of the light. I tried it on a video call, taking a few pictures and what the product description calls 'party atmosphere lights' and it worked great in all three scenarios. The product description says it can be used 150 minutes on one charge--I used it for over an hour and it's still going strong. The light is very powerful for being so small and light. I'm putting it in my laptop bag and will likely use it in a variety of situations. Sometimes I find the occasion to take photos and do a video without most of my content creation equipment--having a versatile, high quality light that takes up negligible space and doesn't add to the weight of my laptop bag is extremely helpful.A very well made, functional light that can serve a variety of functions for content creators.

Fun light, super easy to control.
I have quite a few of these small fill lights. This one has a unique feature of a big control dial on the back, that you spin to select the color. The mode button shifts between white light (with temperature selection by dial) and then a flashing colored light, followed by a solid colored light. The colors depicted on the color wheel around the dial show the order that that the colors will display as you turn the wheel, you can go both left and right, and narrow in on the specific color you're looking to use. I found it to be extremely easy and quick to get to a specific color, must faster than any other methods I've tried yet. Way better then trying to drill through a menu on a 100 x 40 pixel screen that some of these lights have.My only complain is the density of light emitting diodes. They could have packed another row in each direction, which would have made it comparable with some of my brightest lights, but as it is, the light it produces is lack-luster. Doesn't detract a star, just could have been brighter.Five Star Mini Fill Light

Useful, though a couple features could use an upgrade
The directions for this light are not too bad. It did take me a few times of using it to realize that once I used the On/Off switch to change modes, I then needed to press the Adjustment Knob (the big one in the middle of the back) to change the lighting mode, for example. However, that is me not entirely following the instructions - that's on me.In any case, this can be a useful light. The standard Fill In Lighting mode is pretty bright and offers some good variations of color temperature. It does offer a lot of different settings for brightness/color.The second mode is, well... beware photosensitive people! The "Scenario Mode" always starts with a rapid red/blue flashing pattern. And there are several other flashing patterns. It's a bit annoying since there is no memory function to stay on one of the slower-changing patterns. It always defaults to the fast red/blue pattern. Not ideal. The RGB mode should be quite useful for me - I do a lot of astronomy outreach, and being able to light myself with pure red light preserves not just my night vision but an audience as well. That will be helpful. I can put the light on a tripod with the 1/4-20 threaded insert, or attach it to a camera. It also has cut outs on the top and sides where other cold shoe attachments can be added. Those are nice features. But I would not add heavy ones - more on that below. It does say in the instructions not to pick up a camera using this light - believe that! The section that attaches the light to the cold shoe feels... well, flimsy. It is not very strong, and I'd say it is likely to break on my eventually. As such, I would not add anything very heavy to this light, or it could break the screw section - which should be metal, but which is all plastic. One thing I did not understand - and still do not - is that the instructions say the "product is equipped with a memory function." If by "memory function" they mean it reverts back to the original lighting default of the product, then yes. If it means it remembers any setting YOU gave it after you turn it off... then no. To me that i snot a memory function; that means it has an "Always returns to default settings" function. That may be a lost-in-translation thing, but it's a significant one.I will just have to be careful with it. I will test this out in darker conditions for sure. It does light my video studio adequately - it not terribly brightly - at a distance of about 3 meters (I cannot go back any further than that). I will undoubtedly use it outside for astronomy outreach, and perhaps videos under the night sky too. But I would prefer a more robust light, or at least more robust where the thread / show area connects to the light. And an actual memory function that remembers MY settings - not its own default settings.

super bright!
its really easy to use not much to it but it packs a punch! attaches right to the top of my camera and the battery has lasted me up to about 4 hours. they have all the colors as well as white and yellow light and you can adjust he brightness with no problem. its not heavy at all and I love this brand!
