While I've never seen clear evidence that Miracle-Gro plant food works, though I suspect it does, I have abundant evidence that Quick-Start is truly a miracle worker. The first year I used it, I missed one pot of Impatiens. The others, which were treated, grew to record-breaking size. When my sister, also a gardener, saw them she couldn't believe it. The smallest stems were as big around as my thumb. Others looked like small branches. I have no idea what is in this or why it works so well, but it does. It's the rare garden product that exceeds all expectations. I use it religiously. I follow the directions and apply for the first two weeks after transplanting seedlings or new plants and then switch to Miracle-Gro to feed and get the flowers. Incredible results. BTW, for those with environmental concerns...MG is good for the environment. A friend is an environmental scientist and she has assured me that it's actually a better/safe practice to spot-feed a plant than to waste more natural resources like watering everything. MG works by targeting each plant's roots with just what it needs to flourish. There is nothing wrong or dangerous about that.

I’ve used this for several seasons. I usually mix it with Thrive too when transplanting. I can certainly tell the difference if I don’t use when planting. Plants take off right away after transplanting them either from plug starts to pots, or pot into the ground. I use a full cap to 2 gallons of water. The big bottle lasts me about one season. It depends too on how many starts I have. This year I’ve been selling vegetable plants so I have used more.

I have used this product for years, it is really helpful at transplanting time. But be careful with the quantity administered. Depending on the size of the transplant, it could injure (burn) the young plant. -- Note to the amazon shipping department: the top was not sealed properly and some of the solution leaked out. Fortunately, it wasn't very much and the other DRY item in the box had waterproof wrap so it didn't get affected.

I've used this for years and it has just the right amount of the products. I use it mainly for replanting, re-potting bonsai
