Quiet, compact unit with straight forward controls that removes a lot of water rapidly.We bought this unit because we were tired of replacing the consumer grade garbage dehumidifiers every 2 years, despite minimal use. Hopefully this one goes the distance. I'll update the review if it doesn't.

I've had this unit for a few days now, and it is keeping my basement at 55% RH. My basement is a approximately 1300sq ft.What I like about the unit:It's relatively small.It's relatively quiet - while this isn't scientific, I did hold my phone approximately 3 ft away from the unit while it was on, and the app registered about 60-65dB. When I'm upstairs, I can't hear the unit at all.It's relatively light weight. I say relatively b/c it has a metal chassis that makes it more rugged than one with a plastic body.It has a port that allows for a remote humidistat - this allows me to place the unit more remotely and still be able to control from an easy to use location.I liked the packaging. I don't know the name of the foam they used, but it wasn't the brittle crumbly type that static clings to everything, nor did they use packing peanuts. They used a simple and clean foam with reinforcements in the corners. This made it easy to deal with and dispose/recycle the packing material.Where there's room for improvement:I really would have liked it better if it had a drain pump. However, it's not advertised as having one - so it's hard to fault it for that. This model is a gravity drain instead of a pump.

I own a grooming shop on the Gulf Coast. It is very humid here to begin with and we do a lot of forced air blow drying. Typically the humidity level inside stays at 95-100%. This unit is able to keep the humidity at 60% whenever we are blow drying. 50% whenever the driers are off. I am very pleased.

The dehumidifier was not sufficient to handle the moisture in our full basement. Easy to plug in and work, just not enough capacity for our space.

I installed this unit in a crawl space that measures approximately 2,200 sq. ft. (by 4' in depth) and it took the humidity from 88% to 46% in 3 days. I'm very pleased.

This product made such a big difference while Iam working. It is light and works wonderful.Because of its size I am able to place it whereever I need it and works great in homes. Thisproduct makes it so much easier!!

Easy installation. Could be a little quieter. But then again it's commercial grade.
