I was cautious on this hood as it is less costly than other options I've found here on Amazon. I was very happily surprised when I received it to find it is made with heavy-duty cloth, has great stitching, and has an overall quality feel to it.I wanted it for game-night dress up (let's call it what it is..), so I am by no means going for any kind of historical accuracy. I wear this under my gembeson and gorget and it is very comfortable!Difficult to tell in the attached pic, especially with that slightly too big gambeson on, but I am 5' 11", with a 42.5 " chest, and overall athletic to muscular build. I usually find things that must wrap under my arms to be very uncomfortable, but I loosened the straps all the way out, pull the hood on and snug up the straps just enough so they aren't loose. Once on I barely notice the straps under my arms.As another reviewer mentioned, the face mask snaps into the hood, which is a nice touch, but can be finicky to get attached.Great hood for a nice price, I definitely recommend!

Quite versatile as far as black hoods go. Looks good and made of a good quality material. Definitely not disappointed with my purchase.

I really like the look. the shape of the hood could be slightly more ergonomic; its a little boxxy.The straps arent very comfortable or tight but when worn under other things it works great. The material is nice and thick, it feels water resistant. It does make the hood quite warm to wear, for better or worse.

cool vibe but wish the material was softer

Ordered this for an event to go with the theme of my outfit. It was easy to put on and perfect for when the evening got cold and I needed extra warmth. Also looks cool on.

I wish the buckles were white and not black. I ended up removing them and replacing with white ones. Otherwise, the bandana part is detachable unlike the other one WITH white buckles being sold on Amazon so it was perfect and I didn't have to alter it. I am plus sized and a woman so it stops just above the bust and fit fine. I was able to walk around a con with no issues.

I really like this cowl! Trench coat, Hoodia, cardigan...it works. The adjustable straps tailor it for the cold and it comes with a face mask (that is totally detachable). Well made fabric and sturdy construction for 30$. Yup that works. I was surprised at how versatile this was. You can wear it in the cold use it as an airport or paintball shroud or even a coal with a covid shield. I dig it.Pic without mask*
