This 1.7oz clamp fits in the small space of the Mossberg 590 A1 5 shot. This mount can be positioned 2 ways, left, or right, and provides a solid "lock up" around the magazine tube. Each position allows for a sling to be used on one side or the bottom. Made of aircraft grade aluminum and hard coat anodized it is a superior mounting solution for those with limited space or under the gun sling mounting requirements. One tool for one bolt is all that is needed to attach and remove the clamp or light in seconds. NOTE: Sling swivel, light or other accessories are not included. Not for use with heat shield. Review: CDM Gear MTR mount fit my Mossberg 500A perfectly - and a solid flashlight mount - My Mossberg 500A with the standard 5 shell magazine tube has plenty of room between the front of the forend and the barrel attachment mount. Hardest part about mounting this part is included in package are two clear rubber strips. The longer strip fits the mdl 500 tube. It goes inside the flashlight mount but I had a hard time then pressing the mount onto the tube end. I wound up trimming just a quarter inch off each end of the rubber strip and then the mount slipped on. I added some blue thread lock to the mount locking screw just for insurance. Once tightened the mount feels solid and although I haven't fired the shotgun with the flashlight on the mount, I'm confident it will hold it well. I highly recommend this CDM Gear MTR mount. Review: Worth every penny - This mount is amazing. Looks like polymer but its metal. And I was worried about how the rail was going to stay straight but there is a small metal pin that holds it in place below the hole that the screw go's through. This thing kicks ass and is very well built. But..... I know right. It comes with 2 vynal stickers that you are suposted to stick to the inside of the ring befor putting it on the mag tube. I only needed the smaller of the 2 for my mossberg 500.. Without one of these stickers the ring will not be able to stay in place without sliding around on the mag tube.. I tried it without the sticker, no go. All in all. This product is worth every penny. Also the rail itself is metal. Everything about this thing is metal.
