Luces bonitas
The media could not be loaded.

Great cooling but an insanity-inducing rattling sound that ruins it for me
Tl;dr: good at what it's advertised to do, terrible deal-breaker of a noise problem that it creates for itselfPros:- nice big surface area, fans cover a lot of a 17in laptop bottom- really good cooling- fans even at max strength are pretty quiet themselves- has a nice cycle of RGB lighting if you like thatCons:- bulky and chunky gamer aesthetic, no chance of being even a little comfortable on the lap without cushioning (I know that's not its advertised use)- slippery surface so beware steeper angles. It has tabs can stop the forward slide- outer lights can turn off, but internal lights that cannot turn offDEALBREAKER - top most fans RATTLE the frame without enough weight on the back side of the frame. My lightweight mobile workstation is not heavy enough. VERY finicky to position my PC where it MIGHT stop the rattling. Absolutely mind-numbing noise problem.--------------- Full write up ---------------I use a mobile workstation because I travel a lot but still need good PC firepower. As such my device consumes a lot of power and can get dangerously hot. To manage this I use these big laptop cooling pads (as well as external fans to suck out heat, an adjacent product that are superb). This one has a great surface area and pretty good cooling. The appearance is a typical gamer aesthetic, so black & chunky & kinda bulky with RGB lighting. You can turn off the lighting on the rim but unfortunately not the ones inside the pad itself. Thankfully it's not the most obnoxious so it could have been worse. It also has a little control panel for managing the fan speed, and stable pop up barriers to prevent slipping forward. The surface itself can be pretty slippery so the tabs are necessary to keep your laptop from slipping off, if you want a big enough angle for good airflow beneath the cooling pad. Otherwise if you're at an angle that doesn't make your laptop slip, the pad doesn't get a lot of space for airflow underneath. Tabs get the job done but I wish they were placed closer to the front of the pad and not an inch from the edge- that's just wasted surface area and unnecessary front bulk.It uses a metal bar & notches to angle the cooling pad, which means its bottom does take up a bunch of space. For good or bad, the frame guarantees a flat base. No padding at all underneath, just hard plastic frame so not recommended as a lap cooler unless you put your own padding underneath. The real kicker that honestly makes this otherwise great product intolerable is that the fans and frame at the back end of the pad RATTLE without a very very heavy weight pushing it down. I have to use my hand to push down a decent amount of weight on the frame to get it to stop. The pad's surface is too slippery for me to put my device higher up, nor is my PC actually heavy enough to pressure the frame from rattling. It is like a broken headphone cable where you need to find that needle precise perfect angle and positioning to make it work.At lower fan levels it just has the rattling at a lower volume, not stopping at all - aka a persistent problem while in use.If I lower the pad angle to prevent my laptop slipping forward, then there's not enough airflow underneath for good cooling. If I raise the pad then my laptop just slides down too far to press down enough. Will I have to just get a small clamp just to exert enough pressure on the back to tolerate using this cooling pad? This rattling drives me NUTS, especially because preventing it is an inconsistent juggle that doesn't work all the time. A really good cooling product otherwise, absolutely tanked by the poor fan placement inside the plastic frame. I suppose I can manage this issue with extra accessories (a clamp maybe, anti-slip nubs on the surface) but I shouldn't need to.Mind numbing, insanely bothersome sound that its own function causes. Not good.
