VERY water-resistant!
I was hesitant to order this because it's not technically "waterproof" (submergible) like my old Chrome messenger bag was, but I wanted a smaller bag. Water resistant means different things to different companies, and I didn't want to risk putting my phone, etc. in something that would potentially ruin it if it got even a little bit damp inside. So when I got this (decided to go thru Amazon instead of Chrome so I could easily send it back thru Prime if this didn't work. . .) I wore it in the shower for about 10 minutes with notebook paper in it to see if the inside got wet. Even though it doesn't necessarily look like it would keep water out where the zippers meet, it stayed totally dry inside. I also tested it with a quick dunk in water just to see what would happen, and it was fine. Super happy with this result.I feel confident putting my phone & Mac in this - 11" fits but just barely - and getting caught in a flash flood.

Amazing little bag.
This is my second Chrome Kadet bag. My first "Japanese man purse" has seen travel to three continents, and over two years of service, and is still in almost new shape. They easily hold my daily essentials, Macbook 12" in a sleeve , my kindle, a small paperback book and sunglasses, and my other misc. daily needs. This new version has a nice lightweight aluminum buckle and is gorgeous and all black.

FEELS LIKE I'M WEARING NOTHING AT ALL
This thing is LIGHT. (cue sexy Flanders) It's like wearing nothing at all! Great EDC carry bag, water resistant. It has room for a water bottle, bike tools, a u-lock in the back holster. I've crashed with this thing on and it didn't fly forward and hit the back of my skull so there's that.

Backpack/fanny pack
Big badass fanny pack that goes on your back. Bigger than a fanny pack smaller than a back pack. Perfect for stuff you don't want to carry on your pockets. With the quality you can expect from Chrome. It's weatherproof. It's light. It's cool.

Best EDC bag I've had yet
Best EDC bag I've had yet. This is my second one (ex stole the first it was so good.) I like this one better, seems a little more water resistant and the reflective surface on the front is useful at night. Also good to note the buckle on this one is substantially lighter, as it's aluminum. Still strong AF though. I can fit a six pack, lock, wallet, phone, and then some.

an i still amazed how dry inside this two compartments on this bag
I tied my Kadet on my bike handlebar, i rode along Jakarta - Yogyakarta - Jakarta with blurry heavy rain along the way, an i still amazed how dry inside this two compartments on this bag. Recommended.

Perfect EDC bag
from Kindle Customer on August 5, 2017Perfect EDC bagI carry this bag with me everywhere, everyday. I keep my wallet, keys, kindle, headphones, battery pack (to recharge my devices, as-needed), and folding hat in it. It's lightweight, reflective, and seems like it'd keep my stuff dry in a rainstorm or freak accident with the bathtub.I don't write reviews often, but this little guy is worth it. Have opened a beer with the clasp, and am amazed by how lightweight it is. It keeps its shape well, without being stiff. I like the little courdoura diving pocket on the inside, which is where I keep my kindle if I have a water bottle I'm there (Kleen Kanteen w screwtop lid, so not likely to leak but you never know).
