We had one for 15 years that finally wore out, and the ones we found in local stores were cheaply made. That’s why we had high hopes for this one, as it appeared to be strong and well made. After less than a year of use, though, the gears started slipping. Now it barely functions. ### ⭐ Broke with minimal usage *by H***Y on November 10, 2018* I've had this product for about 7 months and would use it perhaps once every other week. From the get go I didn't realize that the spout didn't have an additional filter for grounds coming out as I poured into my coffee cup. That was something I was able to get over pretty easily.Just this past week as I was cleaning the press, a hole broke at the bottom of the glass.That being said I would not recommend this product. Spend the couple of extra bucks and get a higher quality french press. ### ⭐⭐ Its actually starting to rust a little bit and I've ... *by J***S on June 21, 2017* Its actually starting to rust a little bit and I've only used it to open cans of kidney beans. Also, it opens the cans smoothly. I don't need to suffer from one dollar can openers anymore.After three months of using it, the rust becomes visible on it.
