Rola 59516 LED Light Kit for Railed Cargo Carrier

The only thing holding the lights into the rack is a rubber gasket that the lights themselves pop into and unfortunately can pop out of as well. There are no screws or fasteners of any kind holding the lights in place and I have already had them pop out from getting bounced around on the road. I recommend that anyone considering this product go to the hardware store and buy some additional large black zip ties and clear silicone to keep the mounting gaskets and light kits in place so they can't move around ( the zip ties that come with the kit are on the small side and they don't quite send enough ).Despite that the kit was easy to install, had decent instructions with enough pictures to make it simple, and the product wiring works well right out of the box and is easy to get connected thanks to the quick disconnects they use

I installed this into a 2014 Honda Civic sedan for use with a  Pro Series 63153 Rambler Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Receivers  and  CURT 56011 T-Connector .Installation could not have been more easy and fitment of the lights within the cutout of my cargo carrier was good with neither of them popping out after 3000 miles of highway driving (MS to DC and back 1.5 times). No quality issues even after a full day of driving in the rain at highway speed. Installing them into my civic went well as I have previously gone through the process of partially removing the liner. I made use of nearly all of the zip ties to tightly manage and secure the cable to the cargo carrier.As for the lights themselves, they are exceptionally bright, providing perceived light output that meets or exceeds that of my car taillights. The mirroring of the turn signals for both indicating and hazards worked perfectly and were in sync with my vehicle lights as they are also LED. It is possible for there to be a slight difference in light up as LED's produce light instantly upon the application of energy whereas filament bulbs must first heat up before they produce light (difference I believe is 0.2 seconds). This may not sound like much, but it was noticeable when only my lower brake lights were LED and not my high mount brake light. Certainly a cosmetic issue as opposed to a functional one.Bottom line, this kit is very high quality, provides excellent instructions, and is easy to install. Highly recommend.

I bought this for use with my Pro Series 63153 60" x 24" Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier. They work fine and I am not experiencing any of the retention issues others are reporting. If I were designing this, I would probably make it a more positive retention, but so far, so good.The wires are of good quality, with sufficient gauge and insulation for their purpose. I wish that the separate right and left light wires were about 6" longer. With the size and shape of the wires and plugs, I had to route the wires in a spot where they are not shielded by the steel carrier. Since this kit is not purposely designed for use with my carrier, I understand it may not be ideal. It is sufficient for most users, I believe.The plugs that go from the wires to the lights are a beating to plug in. Once they are in place, I believe that the connection is fine, and that they will stay. I wouldn't want to have to unplug those ever again, though.For LED lights, I expected them to be brighter. I have a late-model GMC with OEM LED tail lights, and these are noticeably dimmer than the factory taillights. This is not to say that they aren't sufficiently bright, though, and I expect that they are more than satisfactory for most applications.

Got replacement, its been well over a year now and they work great. Product arrive in box that had clearly been opened before, not in an Amazon box so you can see what it is very easily which was unnerving. Opened up and found that the plug to fit to vehicle was missing, instead came with another plug that goes to the light itself. I am requesting a new replacement and will update my review if it arrives with everything needed to make Product work. All parts seem high quality which is why I requested replacement instead of simply returning.

I ordered the Reese exploerer pro series 63153 rambler trailer hitch cargo carrier. I looked at all the reviews for these lights. I especially paid close attention to the negative reviews. These grommets and lights fit perfectly. I hooked up the lights to my suv before installing them so I could make sure it was wired correctly. I would highly recommend these to anyone. This world has become a place that people don’t use common sense. Common sense goes a long way. Pay attention to what you are doing when you assemble a product and you will find it’s not as complicated as it seems.

Great LED light kit. We bought a Pro Series Model 63153 cargo carrier, and these fit seamlessly. We used them on a 1,500-mile trip recently. As other reviewers have noted, you have to push the rubber gaskets in a bit to allow them to catch on the cargo carrier frame for installation, but after that, plugged these in, and very bright LED brake lights and turn signals (10 LEDs per). While running only parking lights / headlights on our Subaru Forester, we noticed that only the outer 2 LEDs iluminate, which was a little disappointing at first, but these 2 are more than enough to alert other drivers to your somewhat extended load. The wiring harness has a very robust rubber covering, with the Left light marked for connecting. The wiring harness could be about 1-foot longer to accomodate the wider cargo carriers (60"), but it worked fine, I just could not keep all the wires snug along the center frame support as I had hoped - I had to run the wires at a bit of a diagonal, but I don't see a problem there. Highly recommended.

Expensive, but is very well assembled (heavy gauge wire, industrial heat shrink everywhere), a must to avoid some idiot rear ending you when the rack is empty!
