Perfect for my Marine Aquarium
Using for a 30 gallon reef tank. I'm using a canister filter system and wanted to clean up after an ugly stage of cycling. Replaced my top level canister filter with a piece of this and we're good to go! Tank is progressing beautifully! The material is thick and doesn't fall apart when rinsed or cut, very durable. Also soooooooo much cheaper than buying OEM filters

This is the all-in-one filtration solution because…
1. Mechanical filtration. Its physical structure is similar to filter floss, giving you crystal clear water when layered enough.2. Biological filtration. Water-clarifying bacteria products such as nitrifying bacteria and beneficial bacterial, sludge and muck removers, etc. establish themselves in carbon-activated material over time.3. Chemical filtration. Carbon-activated media removes toxins and harmful chemicals, as well as the dead green water algae and bad (cloudy) bacterial bloom that the nitrifying/beneficial bacteria just starved out. Carbon activated media is considered chemical filtration first and foremost.4. Odor neutralization.5. The latest tap water conditioners not only lower chlorine, ammonia, and chloramine, but also phosphates. So there’s no need to worry about elevated phosphate levels if you use this as the only media in your filtration device, as long as you’re using the latest tap water conditioner.6. Safer and with much less hassle than UV sterilizers, which often need bulb replacement every 60 days anyway. Also safer than algae control/algaecide additives.7. Carbon is great for plants.8. Oxygen depletion. Yes, this will rapidly deplete oxygen from the water. But If you’re dosing your tank with nitrifying bacteria/beneficial bacteria you’ll be needing aeration regardless, so nothing changes to that end.

Easy enough to use
This seems like pretty good quality filter material. It is easy enough to cut to the shape for whatever kind of filter you have. It does filter out debris, but I am unsure of how well the carbon aspect makes for clearer water. I have had a problem with slightly cloudy water for some time. It improved to a degree with water changes, but still always came back. I thought that maybe this was helping but it wasn't really. I eventually used Seachem Pristine - bacteria that are supposed to breakdown debris, biofilm etc. It helped a bit but the water was still cloudy. What eventually did it was API Accu-clear - two doses and the water became amazing clear and has stayed that way. So I will use this material till I use it all up but I am not sure I will buy it again.

Works great
Best way to do fish tank filters. Works just as well as the name brand pre-cut ones for a fraction of the cost. Just cut to the size you need and you’re good to go. Does a great job catching debris

Love this!
Just cut to size and use in place of bagged charcoal/filter setup. Easy and study enough to slide in and out of filter compartment

Value for money
Needed replacement filter material for my solar bird bath pump. This is easy to cut to size and price wise will save me a ton of money. I highly recommend this if you need 1/2 inch thick filter material.

Good at cleaning water
It makes water crystal clear in a few days but will not do anything to tannin as some claim
