These are easy enough to mount, directions are clear. What’s not clear is that your opener will likely require tension/resistance adjustment. I have a new-ish ‘smart’ opener that sets tension/resistance automatically as part of the travel adjustment process. Immediately after installing these I was having an issue where all my openers would abort closing because they sensed it was harder to close the doors than usual. Once I retaught them how far to open and close they learned the new resistance and I haven’t had any issues since.These feel a bit expensive but I’m very happy now that they’re installed. I used to have drafty doors that rattled and buzzed in high winds. No more!

I must say it makes garage door much quieter than before I install them. Easy to install. The price is also okay.

I bought these for my brand new ultra thick insulated garage doors. The problem with these otherwise excellent doors was the rattle and gaps forming especially when it’s blowing hard. With the spring loaded hinges the doors do not move at all even with strong sustained winds in the winter. As a bonus, this additional stiffness appears to make it more difficult for a nefarious person to poke a probe into the garage to pull the door release lever. I tried it myself and it was hard to do because the strong springs made the gap very tiny to push anything through never mind manipulating it. I could be wrong but I feel a bit more safe from thieves. Simple installation.

These do a good job of keeping your garage doors from leaking around their outer seals when the wind blows on them. One caveat: go directly to the Green Hinge Systems webpage to buy them; you'll save almost $20 for a set of 6, including the shipping charges.
