These are hand picked and hand bagged by our workers in Madagascar. Many of our workers are 3rd generation employees whose families have been with us for years! These rough stones are not only beautiful, but versatile, they are perfect for so many different uses! They are the perfect size for tumbling, making small cabochons, wire wrapping, arts and crafts, decorating, fountains, planters, keeping in their natural form as a specimen, anything you can imagine..the list goes on and on! As with any natural stones, these are unique and the colors and patterns differ from piece to piece. The sizes and shapes will vary as well. Our pictures try to portray the beauty of the stone, but like people, no 2 are alike, so please keep in mind that the stones you receive may vary from the pictures here. Your order will contain multiple pieces of this spectacular material of varying natural sizes, shapes and patterns as shown in the images. Gem Décor is the direct source for these stones which are mined by our parent company, Norcross Madagascar. Norcross Madagascar has been ethically mining stones and processing them through our factory in Antananarivo Madagascar since 1991. We are not a reseller, but the direct from the mine source for all of these beautiful gems, minerals and fossils. VERY IMPORTANT: This is a natural material which means you are receiving it exactly how it came out of the ground. Many of our pictures were taken with the stones being wet which helps to show the materials true colors and clarity. It may not have the same appearance when dry unless it has been polished, tumbled, or cabbed. If you have any questions regarding this item please contact Gem Decor prior to purchase so we can ensure you will be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Absolutely worth the wait
I ordered the petrified wood on a whim... well, technically in a rage when the other guys *cough*NatGeo*cough* sent me a pound of petrified gravel for more money. Thanks to the amazing efforts of the USPS, it only took 2 weeks to move a 2-3 day priority package from Arizona to Tennessee, proving once again why nobody likes the post office except the federal government.Anyway, as the title says, it was absolutely worth the wait. I got over a pound of large & beautiful pieces of petrified wood, with the smallest piece being the size of a shooter marble. Does that date me too much? O_o How about bigger than a d20 dice? Spin a nickel on a table then. About that size. Either way, they came well packed and undamaged, with less than 1/8 of a teaspoon of chips and dust. I would highly recommend this seller! Not the USPS tho. They have too many issues.

A seller with integrity! Priceless!
I had trouble with the USPS but Madagascar Minerals stepped right up. They do it right. If you choose to buy from this seller, rest assured, you will be treated honorably. Oh, I should also mention that my purchase was as advertised and just what I expected. Give them a try.

Not what I expected.
Was expecting some larger crystalline pieces, but this is more like a handful of shiny gravel.

Nice stones
17 nice looking rocks. Nothing smaller than 1 inch, most 1 1/2 inches. I am very pleased with this purchase. Fast shipping and very well packaged.. Thanks.

Disappointed
These sea jasper (orbicular jasper) stones don't look like the photo, not even when wet, not even close. And there are no 'eyes'. They're not bad, but the picture is misleading.
