They work fantastic!! None of my roommates can hear it ...
This review is based on having these for only 4 days now. They work fantastic !! None of my roommates can hear it and the sound is perfect for me. The headset volume goes so high I could hurt my ears! You do have to have "line of sight" to the grey infrared transmitter box and if you start to move to far left or right of the box it's starts to pick up static and you will loose the signal. At which point it seems to default to a radio station !! For me it's a local Gospel station. The distance is good over 25 feet away and I still get clear loud sound. (That's as far as I could get while keeping the transmitter box in sight) set up was easy and straight forward and the extra connector/adapter is great for newer tv's with the red and white component out jacks. Mine set is slightly older and has the single headphone 3.5mm jack but I still get excellent sound out of both ear pieces. I have read some of the negative reviews about the quality/construction/sound/distance/directions, etc. All I can say is you get what you pay for, buying a 40 dollar rechargeable headset and expecting it to be built and operate like a 150 set is just fantasy. I am amazed that some people think they should get a Rolls Royce delivered when they paid for a Schwinn !!! For the price it is perfect. I have absolutely NO complaints thus far. Time will tell but if I can get at least 1 year out of these I'll be more than satisfied.

As The Birdie Says: Cheap...Cheap...Cheap!
In the first 2 minutes I owned this thing, the rubber strap across the top broke off on the left side while I was trying to see if I could make it comfortable enough to wear. Back to Amazon it goes!I own a previous version of this headphone set (I believe that it is the "777" version) that has served me flawlessly for over 4 years. The headphones (I bought an extra set so that my wife could listen to our bedroom TV with me) have been tossed around, laid on, and moved twice. They are still functioning fully and properly. I have even replaced the foam ear covers twice; like a Timex, they take a lickin' and keep on tickin'!I had a feeling as soon as I took these new headphones out of the package that they weren't cut from the same piece of cloth as my older ones; they were heavy, but flimsy (how does one pull that difficult task off?). I tried the headphones on and I couldn't seem to get them to stay down on my ears without riding up on my head. I took them off and tugged (gently) on the right side of the rubber head strap and found that there was a thinner rubber section there that seemed to serve as a relief of some sort. I then (just as gently) tugged on the left side. Pop went the weasel! The left side pulled right out, making the headphones completely useless. In the first 2 minutes of ownership! I think that's a new record for me.Normally I would accept a replacement, realizing that manufacturing will never be a 100% process. But these things were so cheaply made that I immediately determined that I needed to send them back for a refund. And so I did.

Works Great in Hostile EMI Environment
Followup eight months later. After eight months of continuous use I still like these headphones as much as when I first got them. If anything, my environment has gotten worse-- still no bad effects on the sound quality, battery still takes and holds a charge. I wonder if I can figure out how to hook these up to my MP3 player? The hardest part of setting up this product was moving the television around to get at the audio connections. I would describe my environment as "Hostile" to electronic products. In the same room that I am using this headset I am running 900MHz wireless networking, 2.4 GHz wireless networking, other 2.4 GHz devices, a microwave oven and wireless n devices at 5.something GHz. Also CDMA and GSM wireless telephone device and a Clear wireless hotspot. Kismet tells me it can see over 200 individual wireless networks in my immediate area. Oh, I'm right under a National Airport flight path also. I can't image a worse environment for electronics. This particular device, which doesn't use RF, performs flawlessly for me. I've tried everything to degrade performance of audio-- turned my back to the source, gone as far to both sides as the room allows, faced all directions. Perfect reception for me everywhere. I almost didn't purchase this product because of some of the negative reviews stating that you had to be in direct line-of-sight and any small deviation degraded sound quality. Maybe they had a previous version. Mine works perfectly. I needed to get a drink, so left the room. I had to get completely out of the room before the sound quality degraded, and it restored again before I actually got back into the room.If I had to demand better performance I wouldn't know what to ask for. This product works exactly as I want it to.

Unisar Wireless headset
I am a night owl so I like to stay up really late - like 2-3am - and being retired, that sort of thing is easy to do every night. The wife hits the hay at midnight to 1am. We tape all the shows we like on our Dish DVR so always seem to be catching up on our taped shows. Since I like different things than my wife, this is the time that I like to catch up on my TV watching, but I hate turning down the TV to whisper level so I don't disturb her. Hence, I searched my favorite on-line store (Amazon of course) and found this headset. The price was appealing and there were enough positive reviews that I decided to buy this particular headset.PROs:- The headset is very comfortable and has good padding for the ears- In the box is a bevy of plug adapters so you can hook up the headset transmitter to just about any kind of TV out there. It even comes with a small microphone that can be set right in front of the TV speaker and plugs into the headset transmitter if your TV does not have an audio out jack of any kind. The headset does have an amplifier/volume control so that you could set the TV sound low and still use the headset to make the sound comfortable where you are sitting. But this arrangement does defeat the whole purpose of the headset for me anyway.- It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries that installs in each ear headset housing. The box says you can get 15 hours on a charge.- If you are aligned properly with the transmitter, the sound from the headset is pretty good. The volume control works fine and it does the job.- For the price, it does the job.CONs:- To charge the headset, you have to plug it into the transmitter wherever you have it located. This might be a hassle if the transmitter is located in a tight spot where the TV is sitting. I have a standalone battery charger that works fine, so this is what I use.- I would debate the specs that say it can be used up to 33-feet from the TV. As it is, you have to have the transmitter pretty much at the same level as the headset wherever you are sitting. If you are off by even a small amount, you will get static in your ears, hisses, and screeches. The further away you are, the harder it is to get things aligned. It is best to pick your spot where you will be sitting and have someone place the unit at just the right spot so you can get a clear signal. You might have to put something under the front of the unit to raise the front to point at your head if you can't get the transmitter at the same level as the headset. Once you are aligned properly, it works pretty good. You just can't move around much. I am sitting about 12 feet away from the TV and it works fine as long as I don't get up and move.- The transmitter unit is very light and once you get all the plugs and cords connected in the back, the weight of the cords can make it hard to adjust the unit itself because it wants to keep moving around.- The on/off switch is on the back of the transmitter hidden away with all the cords plugged into the back so you have to feel around to find it - consequently moving the unit out of its proper alignment for the next use.- On our TV (Sony HDTV), the audio jack is located on the side of the TV. When you plug the transmitter into that jack, the regular TV audio is disabled. So, every time you are done using the headset, you have to turn off the transmitter (see above con on the switch location) and then unplug it from the TV so you get your sound back. Just extra hassles. If your audio jack is on the back of the TV, this could be more of a problem. For my use, it does the job at a decent price. I have only had it a few days and have not had any problems with the unit itself not working as long as the transmitter and headset are aligned properly.

Very Happy
I have been having problems finding a headphone that would work for me. For some reason, the tv I have is not set up for headphones. It has 3d, HD, Blue Ray, but couldn't manage to put a headphone jack in it. So, the new type of headphones you have to adjust the volume through the tv volume. Well, mine doesn't work that way. The tv volume doesn't change the volume on any head sets, even ones with cords. Plus, I used to have an awesome cordless headset. I just had this little matchbook size gadget I plugged in and I could walk all around with no interference or problems. Then they changed them to these towers, that have interference no matter what you do. I could not find out why they changed them from working great to not hardly working. I think maybe the others might have been interfering with some signals or something.Anyways, these are the best I have found yet, and works for me. I do have to keep a line of sight and can't have anything between myself and the unit, but if I do that, I have no interference. I put the unit in front of the tv on the stand and it works great. I also don't have to keep changing the channels to find one that is clear. I read someone who said there is interference whenever he turns his head. That doesn't happen to me. Just be sure to put it up high enough to where your foot or other body part doesn't get in the way.
