Good value for money but big
Very good bike, just can’t see it be any good for a 5 yo despite what the product description says. I bought it for a very tall 6yo, and he is still on his tiptoes despite the saddle being on the lowest setting. He also struggles to reach the brakes. He’ll grow into it, but I wouldn’t bother buying it for a younger child. Also gear box is easy to go up but going back from 2 to 1 is hard and kid can’t do it himself. Would still recommend bike overall

Tools and instruction manual missing
We bought this bike for our 6 year old as a Christmas present. A good looking bike, but it would have been a lot quicker to assemble if the tools and English language instruction manual (that should have been in the box) had actually been included. The back wheel also came deflated/totally flat - we’ve pumped it up but time will quickly tell if this is instead a puncture. The brake levers, as other reviewers have commented, seem to fit adult sized hands instead of children’s (a design flaw?). Here’s hoping our son can actually reach the brakes otherwise sadly it’s not fit for purpose!

lightweight it is not.....
upsized as boy was to big for his carrera lightweight 6kg,short of cash brought this one quite shocked at the weight of it tbh ,sisters husband looked at me and said good luck as it pretty heavy for off roading in the forest on narrow tracks with uphill and downhill slopes,my fault as it was a budget bike till I get a proper lightweight bike.

Good value bike for kids to learn with
This is a steel bike so quite heavy but for what it is that’s absolutely fine. The suspension fork is basically decoration but the kids love the idea so all round worth the money and should last well.

value for money upgraded to 5 stars
Bike looks well made, had to do a few minor adjustments to gear change, probable knocked during transportation.Only downside, that most people would not even notice, was the gear cassette runs out of true and had too much bearing play, you get what you pay for. as the bike is for a child it will last till we need a bigger bike. Compared with other bikes it is good value and only having six gears will be easy to get used to gear changes. Overall pleased with the purchase and would recommend. Upgraded to 5 stars as its proving a very good buy and is used on a regular basis, getting used to six gears has worked well with the gear ratios ideal for all terrains.

Great bike but child can’t reach the brakes!
This is a great bike in many ways: looks good, rides well, easy to put together.. However, my son is an average sized 7.5 year old and the handlebars are so big that he finds it hard to reach the brakes. I don’t think his hands are unusually small .. but this is quite a big safety issue and has meant we can’t take the bike out even though the height and wheel size are fine. Will have to wait until he is about 8 (hopefully!) which is a real disappointment as he was so excited about his new bike.

Good value.
Note - I changed the tires to pink (these do not come as standard. Only reason I have not given a full 5star for everything is because the grip shift is a little tricky for my 6 year old and the frame is heavier than is ideal. Bottom line is that it’s good value though.
