Between the Lines (Cops and Docs Book 3)

‪An attraction between two women throw both of them far out of their comfort zones.‬‪Pro:‬‪Dazzling chemistry‬ - The attraction is so well written the chemistry is pretty much felt through the pages.‪Supportive and kind MCs‬ - The characters help making each other better people. There was never a doubt in my mind that these characters belong together, because they fit.‪MC starting to live life at her own terms‬ - After living a very self sacrificing life, it’s a joy to see Tonya open up and as a reader you get to see her blossom.‪Excellent sex scenes‬ - There is only one word for them: “Wow!”‪Fun dialog‬ - The secondary characters are hilarious and made me laugh out loud several times.‪Con:‬‪-‬I loved this book and will most definitely re-read it!

I love the dynamic between Hayley and Tonya - I feel like they're two very strong women in their own ways, and seeing them come together is a little complicated and very explosive. The love scenes - wow. Just wow. Probably some of the best that I've read, and I really like how there's the push and pull between them two in the bedroom and outside. As always, I love the dialogue that occurs between the characters - not even just the main ones, but I felt like the secondary characters had a purpose in this story, too. I like how Hayley and Tonya were both dealing with their own issues stemming from their families, and it was nice to see how they both handled those issues when it seemed like they would seep into their own relationship. I was a little disappointed that the plot wrapped up so quickly towards the end of the story, it almost felt too easy. I can't wait for the next novel from Williamson!

This series has really hit a peak. The characters are complex as with her other books in the series. In this one the city of New Orleans is its own character and alot of time is spent telling you about a city the author obviously loves, although she is not afraid to lay it bare and show you both the good and the bad of it. Loved how nerdy and shy, yet strong Haley was, admittedly I am pretty sure we could both compete in the goofy t-shirt collection department if she were a real person so maybe I could identify with her a bit too much. At first Tonya was a quite bit unlikable but I think we needed to see her that way so the reader is taken on the journey with Haley to finding the real treasure within that Tonya keeps hidden so well. Also I felt like the erotic portions of this book were ramped up a little more than the previous ones. There is definately no reading this one in public, it was that good and hot. Really recommend this book, pretty stand alone from the first two.

When this book was first released, I wasn't keen on reading it because it didn't continue the story of the characters from the first two installments. I'm glad that I gave in and checked this out after all. I really liked the characters, especially Haley. I felt a little like a conflict was thrown in at the end for the sake of the story needing one, and then there was a quick resolution and the story was over. The ending seemed a little rushed and I felt there were a few areas that could have used more closure. Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I didn't want the ending to come because I enjoyed witnessing the growth of the relationship between these new characters.

I have read all three in the series and the books keep getting better! This one is completely unrelated to the first two so you could read it first if you want. I was worried the third one would be same format, plot etc with just different names for characters and I could not have been more wrong! This was a great book very different from the other two. It had a nice plot and some great sex scenes. The romance built nicely and it touched on some hard topics but was will written and I could not put it down! I can't wait for the next book from the author!

Ok so I've read all the books in the series and i think i like this one the best all because of Chapter 2. And for the record that was my same reaction to the ending of Mass Effect 3...all those freaking hours just to see my femShep...urgh...anyway. I also really liked it cause Haley was a geek with the tshirts and the video games and the tv shows and all. I felt Tonya and her fit well together and their chemistry was great. Their friends added to their dynamic and the little sour spot at toward the end was pretty decent too. Regardless, I enjoyed it and it made me smile. Fans of the series will like it even if it based on two new characters.

I enjoyed the feeling that they both were having but didn't realize that it was love for each other. I also liked how the writer described the feelings and how it made me think of how I felt for my wife when I first met her. She has passed now but to know I still have those feelings for her made me love her even more.

Wonderfully written and extremely good. I like that the book was long so that Tonya and Haley could be explored more as far as their personalities. They were very likable and so strong in their own way. This book had lots of family angst as most real life families do. It was so exciting reading how their love developed. This author has such a way with words that the characters really do come alive. Ms, Williamson, you are truly a great author and I can't wait for more from you.

I thought the first 2 books in this series were amazing but God does this book raise that bar! I really enjoyed this story. Tonya is a superwoman overcoming all that in her life and still be open to love like she does. Haley is without doubt her equal. I loved the fact this woman is a gamer :) don't see that very often in lesfic . Chapter 20&21 Should come with a warning. Hot and steamy doesn't even come close to describing just how good it is. Thank you KD so can't wait for the next book.

Very disappointed in this book,could not get into the characters or the setting of the story.Not as good as book 1 and 2.

Yep, a really good read that has so many threads running through it there is no way of knowing what is going to happen and I loved that.

It felt nice reading a book, that didn't feel rushed.I felt the characters were believable at all time. Nice job

I am in love with this book ! For me, this is what romance is about - slow and steady. I can literally see myself reading this book more than once :) Worth the buy !
