Purchased in May 2025. Easy to install, easy, clear instructions. I thought it might be a bit too big to fit, but it worked out fine. Very happy with the result.

We decided to add a ceiling fan to our bedroom. After much study I decided to go with this Prominence model for remote control. The bedroom was only wired for a light fixture with two wires from a wall switch. Due to the room layout I had wired a 3-way switch; it is really needed. Base installation was simple. The problem: could I get a second remote to operate the fan/lights? After calling Prominence support, I was discouraged that this system was not designed to add a second remote. However, after reading that some people have had success, I ordered a second kit (I now have an extra receiver/controller module). Out of the box, the second remote did not connect. However, following the instructions to remove power from the receiver, turn it back on and within 30 seconds hold the learn button in the remote for 5 seconds, the second remote paired with the receiver. The first remote also remained paired to the receiver, so we now have complete control of the fan and lights from two locations, effectively 3-way functionality. I also took an idea from another reviewer. The buttons are small and it’s hard to find the lamp button in the dark. I found some small clear silicone semi spherical cabinet door bumpers that just fit the lamp icon on the remote, plus still show the icon. You can see the bumper in the photo. Now it’s simple to find the lamp button in the dark. The features all work as described. I’m delighted with this fan control.

Bought this to replace an AC-wired wall switch with many tiny buttons, impossible to control without careful examination, wife hated it. Most alternatives required an uncommon 12v battery, an A23. This unit uses 2x CR2023 batteries available everywhere. Not easy to mount on multiple wall plates, best suited for single wall plates.

Purchase this product because I had a fan that the remote got damaged from a dog. Purchase is thinking it would be pretty easy but when I tell you, this was so complicated to figure out. Ended up pulling the fan down installing it still didn’t work it’s now sitting in a drawer hopefully one day I’ll be able to go Install it. This kinda deterred me from getting other like this. Maybe it was just me, but I don’t find it worked at all and it’s not easy to install.

I have 5 of these, 4 installed so far, all work great no issues. However there's another post somewhere with setup help that's not in the instructions. Use the guys post and you shouldn't have issues. As the instructions are not so great that come with the unit, but after setup they have worked flawlessly. Fit over an existing single gang box (like I did) or can be mounted to a wall.

I left my remote for my ceiling fan out on the side table and my dog destroyed it. I was extremely fortunate to have found enough of it to make out the product number. Did a search on Amazon and bingo this came up. What a relief to have found the exact original remote to replace my eaten one. Installed easily, works perfectly! This one got mounted to the wall right away where no doggos can snack on it!

I bought this remote and receiver to go with an existing fan that already has a remote and receiver. I was hoping I could have one remote mounted on the wall next to the main switch, and the other remote on the desk or the nightstand for convenience.I am able to sync the fan with the new remote, or with the original remote, but not with both. Is there any way to sync one fan with two remotes? Or can I purchase a remote which is set to the same frequency as one of the remotes I already have?

I tried two other universal receivers that didn’t work on my harbor breeze non dip switch model. Lowe’s offered to replace the entire fan because they couldn’t get the old receiver, but I finally tracked down the manufacturer and he said this was the replacement. It worked right out of the box without any playing with the learning feature. The manufacturer was terrifically helpful and said to call him back and he’d walk me thru the setup but I got lucky and it just work without fiddling around. I also replaced my halogen lights for dimmable leds and this unit dimmed with no problem.
