If you want the IKEA "Hemma" (white cylindrical sleeve & round cord)...
Although I just posted the following info in the comments section of JB's review, thought I oughta post this separately, in case my 'luck of the draw' purchase helps others make a decision on which Prime vendor to use:I received a sealed plastic bag containing an IKEA "Hemma" instruction sheet and lantern cord (I don't have an actual IKEA-bought cord to compare it to, so I can't say if it's a knock-off or not), but I'm happy with this one, and it's functioning fine. This lantern cord has a white cylindrical sleeve for the bulb to fit into and the smooth, white rounded electrical cord (not the cheap-looking cord w/ the vein division down the midline). There is no switch midway, so it's always on until unplugged. I bought a dimmer, which works well with it: Lutron TT-300H-WH Electronics Plug-In Lamp Dimmer, White .I used QQ-OUTLET (vendor) via Amazon Prime (comes up on receipt as KJ U TRADING CORP); so, as of March 15, 2012, this is what they were sending out. Hope this helps you get the right cord... I almost ordered from LUCCA until I saw JB's review, so I'm really grateful I didn't have to deal w/ the hassle they went through! Glad to get an IKEA item on Amazon, since I can't stand the wild zoo craziness of IKEA itself.

Item doesn’t match description
The item I received doesn’t match the description or product shown. It’s only rated for 40 watts, not 60 watts. The socket looks nothing like the picture. This cord is useless for my purposes but hopefully this information helps you find the right product! For those who are looking for a swag light cord to run through a small hole, this cord is not easily disassembled. It doesn’t look like you can detach and reattach the wires from the socket. You may have to cut the cord and attach to another socket.

Sturdy pruchase.
I use these in my winter greenhouse in my breakfast nook. plugged into a power strip and wrapped carefully around the upper supports, they have the UV growing bulbs screwed into them. They've been chugging away for 16 hours on a day for the last three months and they've held up far better than my old cords were in my living room. Switches still work, no problem screwing in a new lightbulb. Two of them for the price was very decent and I look to be getting quite a bit of use out of them. When I need to add another set of lights to the greenhouse I'll be grabbing another set and after some more time has passed, I'll update the review if anything has changed. But so far, a sturdy purchase.

New lights in minutes!
These are great. I bought 2 & used them to replace some ugly 1970s swag lamps that were falling apart. I paired these with the Motent DIY birdcage shades [Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B073XG3J1D?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. ] & was done with install in a few minutes. I chose to install the included hooks into the ceiling studs, but if there are plastic anchors included if you want to install these just in the drywall rather than the studs. Good product!

All bright white! long with a switch! LOVE IT!
Photo does not do this product justice! Mine was entirely white including the socket exterior! Only the socket interior is black.I was able to use this with a low wattage CFL! I wouldn't be concerned that this cord is "flat" like other reviewer pointed out. I agree round would be more attractive, yet I personally believe the all white color makes up for it. The best part is the white plastic hanging hooks that come in the package. You get two of those already hooked on, and then two metal attachments to screw into the ceiling. I did not measure the cord, but yes, it is very long and should meet your needs. It certainly saved me from needing to mess with extension cords. I also like how this light is so easy to turn on or off with it's well positioned switch. My order arrived very quickly from the complete opposite side of the country, so I know it was sent out immediately! Very satisfied.

Good and durable, but it makes my lamp hang awkardly...
This is a good cord. I recieved it (along with my round chinese lamp) on time. It came with four hooks (two different kinds along with an extra one of each).I couldn't figure out how to hook it took the wire frame of my chinese lamp, so I just kind of tied the cord in a knnot and hooked it that way to the wire fram. The only real problem I have now is the act that the weight of the heavy, strong cord makes my lamp hand lopsided, so I have to tape one end of the cord to my wall or something.Be prepared to have the shipping and handling be a little expensive for this! (Only a few bucks, but if ur on a budget like me, you have to be prepared).

Perfect!
These were purchased for my mother, as she wanted to get a cluster of those cool paper lanterns and hang lights in them in her bedroom. Unfortunately, after the lanterns and cords arrived, the lanterns stated they could not be used with a light kit or anything that heats up, common sense, right? So now these light kits are being used to hang some other cool vintage lights we picked up from the flea market that needed a cord replacement. They work wonderfully, and I absolutely love that they have a switch on the cord, so you aren't left having to plug in and unplug every time you want to turn your light on and off. Overall, perfect!

Works great for a quick lighting solution.
I really wanted an overhead light in my workshop but didn't want to hire an electrician to do a bunch of wiring. This was the perfect solution! The long cord made hanging it near the center of the room very easy while still being able to plug it into a wall socket. It's sturdy enough to hold a small glass lamp cover too. If I cared about the aesthetics in the room, I think it would be very easy to add a chain to the cord to hide the wire.
