Four unbroken was my PR, but even that was a bumpy ride on the struggle-bus. I’ve bought four or five different kinds of ropes, and watched hours of YouTube videos and have been putting in quality structured training 3-5 times on week on jump rope. And still every metcon I would scale down to single unders. This is my third day with this rope and I hit 18 unbroken reps. I’ve still got a long way to go but everything is starting to click. The handles are light and comfortable, the handles spin super smooth and the cable is heavy enough that I can finally feel the rhythm. I didn’t get the perfect fit. I’m 5’6” and I bought the 8’6” one which works okay but I have to hold my hands wide. But I live in South Korea and desertcart is the only way to get these ropes (the free shipping balances out the poor exchange rate) and I had to roll the dice with sizing. But I look at this as a beginner rope and hopefully by next year I’ll be able to graduate to a lighter speed rope. Amazing quality. Worth the price. I am 6'2 and use the 9' rope. **Q: What surfaces can the ropes be used on? How durable are they?** A: The ropes should only be used on smooth surfaces such as a rubber gym floor.
