Aquis Doggie Dryer Microfiber Pet Towel, Red, Extra Large (29 x 55-Inches)

I have owned an Aquis for myself for almost 20 years, and use it exclusively. I bought this for my dog, who is white, so luckily, I read the reviews and so pre-soaked it, then dried, and soaked again in vinegar and water.. about a cup of V, and about a quart or so of water. I then washed it a couple times with my jeans, and I do not have a pink dog, as others have. Too bad they made it in red, but it is great for shampooing, or even a quick dry when coming in on a rainy day.

This towel is a nice weight and a perfect size for my big ol' mutt. I can cover her entire length and therefore give myself an advantage to win the battle of whether I can dry her before she really wants to dry herself (by minimizing splatter from that shaking as I dry her).While this is a sizeable towel, putting a clip in the long-side middle allows me to hang on a peg to be ready for action at the door.This washes up nicely - but you really want to be sure to wash alone the first couple of times.I just now checked the current price on this and there is a special going on. I think I'm going to get a couple more as gifts for my dog-owning children. I just hope they aren't looking here and see my review!And so as you might can tell, I like this very much!Update: I posted the above on October 21, 2008 and now after 4 1/2 years, I wanted to update to say this towel is used every time it is wet outside (rain, snow or if the mutt gets caught outside when the sprinklers come on) and we still love it. It gets washed about every 3 or 4 months (occasionally every 3 or 4 days like last month when we got 12 inches of rain over four days) and is just a fresh looking as after the initial washing. It works well, has held up well and yes, those family members who received one under the Christmas tree are still using theirs also. Great product. 6/11/2013

This towel works on my dog. She's a husky, so that double coat takes forever to wick out properly on its own. This towel sopped her right up, leaving her twice as dry as a typical "human" towel. She was still pretty damp, but I'll take the improvement. My problem is that this towel is bright red, and BLEEDS.To give you an idea of the severity; I put the wet, recently used towel on top of a pile of laundry. Underneath was, unfortunately, my other purchase from Aquis; a new, white, microfiber hair towel. When I went to put these in the wash, the damp red towel had bled and stained the other towel pink. Boooo. I'm honestly terrified of what load to put this towel into for its first wash, because I know everything will turn a shade of pink.Beware!

These are great lightweight towels that actually feel like real towels (unlike the camping sponge or felt ones). They fold up and take little room, so you can stack a few in the back of your car, or in your bag to take to the beach. I have them in all the colours.This towel is offered in Aquis' original fabric - Lisse Crepe. The red is only available in sizes L & XL.Update (Sept 1, 2010):These red towels BLEED from being over-dyed. Multiple washings are needed to rinse out the extra dye. This is not a towel to be used right out of the packet. The other colours are much better (dark blue bleeds a little too, but clears up by the second wash). After the extra dye has been washed out, the towel does not look faded or worn.If there is a need to use the towel right out of the packet, then I would recommend the white & pastel colours that this towel also comes in. The fabric is described as Lisse Crepe under the other listings.

At first I was skeptical to buy this towel due to the hefty price tag, but I decided to give it a try, since my dogs love to feel clean and sleep on my bed after a good shower. Normally, I used old raggedy human towels to dry my dogs after a shower, and it was a hassle having to wring it after every so wipe. But with this Aquis doggie towel, I can pretty much use one towel and wipe my Husky completely dry without having to wring it at all. This towel is pretty effective at wicking water away from the fur, even if the dog is just sitting on it, amazing! Because of this towel, I am now able to give my dogs a shower and get the dog clean and dry in less than 30 minutes, a real time saver from before. If you dread about having to dry your dog after a shower, this towel will make it much more enjoyable, although it won't prevent you from getting slightly drenched when your dog tries to shake itself dry! If you love to give your dogs a shower, this towel will make it that much easier, you won't regret it!

Love all things Aquis; their towels are the best. My consumer reports for the towels they make is a triple A rating:1. They wear like iron, as a mother of twin boys I have a true appreciation of things that last and can take a lot of use (punishment) and still look good.2. They do the job they are sold as doing, absorbing water quickly and what could be more important when you dry off your furry friends.3. The towels are lightweight, even wet and dry lightning quick.4. I like the bright red and the size, fido and fee fee almost lost this towel to me.Only drawback is that if dropped and left on the floor to dry, they can hold a musty smell after washing and drying. A simple overnight soak in Oxi clean has solved this problem for me. Hopefully this will not happen to you as you are responsible enough not to have to wait for the mom-maid to pick up after you.

This is the third towel I have purchased from this brand. Aquis also makes a great gym towel, that is essentially the same thing but just packaged differently. So if you like the bright red color you can go for this version. Just take off the label that says doggie dryer and you will be good to go!This towel just soaks up the moisture and dries my black Labrador retriever very quickly. That can be a great asset as dogs hate to be dried and would rather shake themselves all over your carpet. If you want to buy for yourself also dries long hair pretty quickly. The best part is that this towel also dries very quickly so it is a great towel for the gym or for travel.

J'utilise désormais cette serviette pour mon chien à tout moment. elle est pratique et se glisse facilement dans le sac-à-dos car ne prend pas de place une fois pliée. une chose que je ne comprends pas, je l'ai achetée à moins de 17€ et maintenant, elle dépasse les 30€.. étrange, non?

the super absobing power of Aquis towels is absolutely amazing. Big negative: this towel bleeds during washing. Washed it several times, still discoloring. You do not expect this from a towel !
