Just needed a new enclosure for the electronics. Swapped old electronics to the new case.

You are better off biting the bullet & getting Fob thru a dealership or someone that deals with OEM fobs. Keep in my (at least the dealership I went thru) that when you order a new Fob, they charge for the fob and programming, and if you want a mechanical key-its additional. I ended up getting one thru the dealership; as you can tell by the pictures, it is not OEM (missing the Volvo logo on the back) and is much lower quality. For the record, I took it apart (not broken) for my general curiosity. I didn't try to get it programmed.

My son’s key stopped working. It was an easy setup and is very happy with the replacement.

Identical to the original
It works perfectly fine for a fraction of the price of the original. The only difference is it does not have the brand logo which I can live without!

Volvo key fob programming
I tried several auto shops including Volvo dealers all who had some type program that should have been able to program my new fob but all failed. How do I reture this fob and possibly ge another one that will be able to program and match my Volvo system.

Just does not work.
Even a mobile locksmith is not able to set this up. Complete waste. Seems that this is Volvo specific but they should not be selling these.

Key Fobs for Volvo XC60 T5
I ordered two of these after market key fobs that were said to be compatible with this vehicle. However, they were not able to be programmed. Don't bother buying these you'll have waste your money. Also, no refund is available.
