Common sense, solid pieces
I was nervous about the plastic, but it's high quality and holds well. The clips are a smart design so that they grip well but do not damage fabric. They have a great alligator-head design, so that when the piece in the back is up, the clip is open. You close the clip on the fabric or ribbon (my duvet had a strong straight loop, diagonally across its corners for attachment) and then you lock the clip/ back of the alligator head to keep its jaw shut. I went ahead and started to do all the work... only to find my duvet cover actually HAD strings in already. Unbelievable. It's high quality, so I was surprised at the lack of string fastener but they were just so tightly pressed in the corners I didn't find them.Anyway, I am still giving this 5 starts because I am saving it and (except for the sheet fasteners, which I don't need and isn't why I bought this), I tried it all and works really well. The ribbons strong and nice to work with, so if you're wondering about the pin/ribbon combination, don't. No pennies were saved in having flimsy pins or fasteners, either. I think for someone could still use this if they had arthritic fingers or trouble with their grip, but not positive. I do think it's easy enough for anyone from high school (or younger if they have common sense and a bit of dexterity) to the elderly. As someone who has actually sewn all these parts in before, never mind convinced a family member to help me make a duvet cover years ago... this is a great invention that would have saved a great deal of work. I bought them because I wasn't willing to take the time to sew and also as something was invented so I would not have to!

Looks like they’ll work great
UPDATE 4/4/19I’ve slept with them for a few weeks and so far only one clip has come off, but it was due to my duvet ties coming off. I’ll tie them tighter.I used the pin ties on my sons duvet and they’ve stayed in place after a wash.I was very impressed with the items included. I was only expecting duvet clips, but also comes with sheet clips and pin ties (if your duvet doesn’t have ties). The duvet clips were easy to install. I haven’t slept with them yet so will update if any issues arise.

Easy and clever solution!
Such a clever idea and so easy. These are very sturdy and even with my tossing and turning my comforter has stayed nicely tucked into the corners of my duvet. I ordered shortly before the big nationwide snow/ice storm so I knew there would probably be a delay in shipping. Well it seemed to disappear so unbeknownst to me the seller shipped out a replacement. I was surprised to get TWO packages on the same day! I realized they were a small business so I contacted them so I could pay for the second one(wouldn’t be worth it for anyone to ship the second one back). They were so impressed with my honesty that they said I could keep the second one as reward. They were so kind and I even found some other great clever items in their online store that I can really use. I will DEFINITELY buy this item for gifts!

Had high hopes but these didn’t work for me
I have been looking for this type of product or something that is like a duvet/down comforter “system” for years. I was so excited when I found what I thought might be the simple, practical answer to my prayers. Unfortunately, after just a few weeks of use, the corners came unsnapped or the pin came undone from the two at the head of the bed. Maybe it would work better on a queen or twin sized comforter instead of a King.

The only connector I’ve seen that keeps a good grip on the blanket
This was an interesting solution to the problem of keeping a blanket or duvet connected to the duvet cover. My mistake was attaching the hardware to the duvet cover, then putting the duvet cover in the wash. All the ribbons untied themselves and rattled around. So instead I’m putting the pins in the blanket, tying the ribbons to the clips, and then clipping onto the duvet cover. The pins and clips stay with the blanket, which isn’t washed much.

Keep duvet & cover together
One of my down duvets does not have loops to attach the cover and several duvet covers do not have ties to secure both together and keep from slip & sliding. I strongly feel, from full-size on additional help is needed to keep duvet & cover together especially when the cover is made from synthetics. At first I was a little disappointed by the slippery ties & tiny tacks as well as the clips made out of plastic.Slippery ties: difficult to stop from slipping, even harder to unknot when double knot has been used.Tiny tacks: didn’t believe they would hold but, they are still in position without coming apart.Plastic clips: depending on size/grade of warmth, duvets can be relatively heavy and my concern is, they may not last longterm use. The usual metal clips with plastic “teeth” would be preferable. But so far so good. This set is the best problem solver I’ve seen on the market so far and considering how well it’s holding up, it’s promising.Considering the drag having to deal with a sliding duvet, I recommend this item!
