A recent purchase, I have tested the SOS and satellite comms features, as well as the 'GPS navigation' capabilities. Useable as a standalone and without registration, you'll get much nore out of it when paired with the Garmin Explorer app. New entry-level InReach 'Enabled' service plan is a bonus too.So if like me you venture into areas without celluar coverage then this is a vital bit of kit-you'll be happy never to use the SOS function but it could save your life.

Item was advertised as brand new though outside packaging was damaged and unit had obvious signs or usage. Last one in stock so reluctant to send it back.

A great product to keep you safe in inaccessible areas. Texting a little clunky but the big red button should get the chopper airborne if trouble occurs. Well worth carrying on a trip.
