Solid, clear sound, good size, easy connection
Great little speaker! It gets really loud, but sound remains clear. Very easy to connect to my iPhone. Big enough to not get easily lost, but small enough to not stick out like a sore thumb. Feels solidly built, and price is very reasonable.

Small Speaker, Big Sound, Zero Regrets
I picked up this little Anker Bluetooth speaker in black after my last speaker gave out when a port broke, and I honestly did not expect much at this price. I paid $29.99, so I figured it would be decent at best. What I got instead is a compact speaker that punches way above its size. The sound is surprisingly powerful, with clear volume that fills a room without sounding strained or tinny. It connects fast, stays stable, and just works without any fuss. It also feels solid in the hand, not like a cheap plastic gadget that is going to fall apart after a few weeks. Perfect for the kitchen, the garage, or just carrying around the house when you want music without dragging out a big setup. For the price, this is one of those rare wins where you feel like you got more than you paid for. Clean design, strong sound, and reliable performance from Anker. Mu pool buddies will be so happy that I will be playing music again while we exercise and enjoy the sun.

Amazing!!!
This is an amazing little speaker! The sound is better than I expected. It paired with my phone easily and is simple to use. The connectivity is great and I’ve had no issues with that. The battery seems to last for quite a while. I use this over shorter amounts of time while in the kitchen. I definitely recommend this and would consider other products from this company as well.

Great speaker for what it costs! Definitely would buy it again!
Speaker has surprisingly great sound for how small it is! I love the square (rectangle) design, it sits on my SUP without rolling off. I like that it's waterproof, I'm unsure if it's supposed to float or if it'll sink if dropped. I'm not brave enough to submerge it and find out! That would be the inky thing that would make this speaker absolutely perfect in my eyes! For now I'm on the hunt for something to secure it to the lake board in case I end up yeeting me and everything else off the board unintentionally one day 😂 Powerful speaker!!! Versatile in many ways, lakeside-poolside-paddle boarding it kayaking..... Very functional-works with everything app I've tried! And charged relatively quickly every time, and lasts am recruiter day at the lake, I always recharge when I get home. That's something I wish it had-a way to see where the charge is at the end of the day. (No lighting except for the power light.)

Worth Every Penny
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I absolutely love this speaker! A few weeks ago I was looking for a new Bluetooth speaker and kept seeing a lot of expensive options. After scrolling for a while, I came across this blue Soundcore 2 by Anker for around $35 (about $40 after taxes), and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. It's incredibly easy to use. Pairing was simple, and the buttons are easy to find and use when turning it on and off. The sound quality is great for the price, and it gets plenty loud without sounding distorted. One of my favorite things about it is that I use it in the shower every day. I listen to podcasts while I'm getting ready, and I don't even have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it clearly over the water. That's a huge plus for me. It's also advertised as waterproof. Personally, I'm not the type to intentionally throw electronics in water just because they can handle it, but it's nice knowing I don't have to worry about a little moisture or steam from the shower. I've even seen other people mention using theirs around water without issues. Another thing I was pleasantly surprised by is how easy it is to clean. I have the blue one, and I was worried about dirt or stains showing up over time. Hot water on a cotton pad didn't do much, but a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad or Q-tip cleaned it right up without damaging or fading the color at all. For the price, I honestly don't think you can go wrong. Great sound quality, easy to use, easy to clean, and perfect for everyday listening. I would definitely buy it again.

Loud, good sound reproduction, advanced call answering features
When Anker’s SoundCore 2 went on sale, I immediately made the purchase so that I could compare an Anker Bluetooth speaker with those from other manufacturers. Anker is a well-known brand producing quality products. My expectations were high. Packaging The SoundCore 2 came in a white and light blue box with black and light blue text on the outside. Inside the box, wrapped in velvety plastic, was the speaker secured by cardboard on all but the top parts. With the speaker were the user guide, “Happy/Not Happy” card and an Anker-branded charging cable inside its own smaller box. Packaging was professional. Pairing and Controls Pairing the SoundCore 2 with an iPhone 7 Plus was a breeze. Shortly after turning the speaker on, “SoundCore 2” appeared on my phone. A couple of seconds after I tapped the name, paring was successful, confirmed by tone. The controls are located at the top of the speaker. They include the power, - (minus), play, + (plus) and Bluetooth buttons. The + and – buttons are used for adjusting volume. The play button is a multi-function button that can be used to pause/resume playback, accept/reject/end calls as well as putting the current call on hold while accepting another call. Additionally, the play button can also be used to switch a call between speaker and mobile device. On one of the sides are the auxiliary and micro USB charging ports. Performance When it comes to speakers, the most important factor for me is sound quality reproduction. Anker’s SoundCore 2 didn’t disappoint. Vocals by a basso vocalist were smooth. Middle frequencies produced by a flute and a clarinet were clear and pleasant. High frequencies from an acoustic guitar were crisp and very satisfying. The sound of a bass drum was somewhere in between a “punch” and a “boom.” Applying an equalizer app got the bass drum closer to a boom but not quite there. This is an area where the speaker could use an improvement when it comes to sound quality reproduction. The SoundCore 2 is loud. At maximum volume, it easily filled my 20-feet x 20-feet garage with sound. Bluetooth range was amazing. Without any obstruction in between the speaker and my phone, sound didn’t cutoff until both were about 100 feet apart, producing the best Bluetooth range of all speakers I’ve tested to date. Phone calls were clear. The speaker has the ability to put an existing call on hold while answering another incoming call. I have yet to see this feature on other Bluetooth speakers. There is one feature that is common with most speakers I’ve tested but not present with the SoundCore 2 and that is the ability to call the last number dialed on the phone the speaker is paired with. This would normally be a double press of the play button but this action is assigned to skip to the next track. I found this to be surprising coming from an Anker product. In addition to call the last number dialed, I was also surprised by the inability to go to the previous track. Unless I missed this in the user guide, this functionality is not present. As already mentioned, the speaker has the ability to enable voice control software such as Siri on iOS devices. This is the second speaker I have tested to include this nice feature. Pros • Durable and rugged construction • Good sound reproduction • Loud • Comprehensive user guide in 9 languages • Amazing Bluetooth range • Advanced phone call answering features • Ability to enable voice activated software (Siri with iOS) • Anker-branded charging cable Cons • Can’t go to previous track • Can’t call the last number dialed • No auxiliary cable Conclusion Despite the minor quirks mentioned in my review, the pros far outweigh the cons making the SoundCore 2 an excellent choice for a Bluetooth speaker in the $46 (price at the time of review) range. Similar speakers I’ve tested are the Meidong 2110 and the Meidong QQChocolate Medium. While these two speakers are more accurate in terms of sound quality reproduction, they are not as loud as the SoundCore 2. If volume is more important, you can’t go wrong with the SoundCore 2. However, if sound quality reproduction is more important, take a look at the Meidong speakers. I had to switch between all three speakers while writing this review to make sure that my conclusions are as accurate as possible.

Great deal and don’t regret my buy.
Sound is awesome and plenty loud, size is great too-not too small or big. Like the color choices and operating is just a breeze :) The only downside-but definitely not a dealbreaker-I miss is it doesn’t play the last song again. But all in all you can’t go wrong buying it.

Replacement Unit Developed the Same Charging Port Overheating Issue
I really wanted to love this speaker because the sound quality is excellent for the price. For around $35, it delivers surprisingly rich sound and easily outperforms the built-in speakers on my monitor. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it due to a serious charging issue. My original speaker developed heat damage around the charging port and was replaced under warranty. This review is for the replacement unit. The replacement speaker was only about a month old and was not being used while charging. It was simply plugged in and charging when I noticed the charging cable had become extremely hot. Upon inspection, the USB-C connector was scorched and partially melted, and the charging port on the speaker showed visible heat damage as well. I have photos documenting both the damaged cable and the damaged charging port. What concerns me most is that this happened on two separate units. The first speaker showed heat-related charging issues, and the replacement developed similar damage despite being used more carefully. The sound quality is outstanding, which makes this even more disappointing. If reliability matched the audio performance, this would be an easy 5-star product. However, after experiencing charging-port overheating on two units, I no longer trust the product enough to continue using it. Pros: * Excellent sound quality for the price * Compact and easy to use * Great value when it works Cons: * Charging-port overheating * Visible heat damage to charging components * Similar issue experienced on both the original and replacement unit I hope the manufacturer investigates this because the audio quality deserves better reliability.

2 speakers/tweeters AND subwoofer. Quality and Value.
5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ Excellent!!! Value and Quality. Fills a room, car etc crisp clear highs and lows. At 12 watts, it is a lot of sound for something so small. And each speaker plays Left and Right. If you place it on your forehead, you can hear each speaker doing different sounds. Similar to surround sound. Basic. Turn on first to connect. Works with and without app. Has a mini AUX inlet plug. Buttons easy to use even without looking. Charges fast. Item is as described and photo graphed exactly. I noted there is no clip, handle or way to carry it, as is only. I grabbed this to go out with and home use. Portability. You need a pocket, purse, backpack, hip pack with etc. Medium soft rubber cover. I usually lay it on its back to direct the sound upwards, which is amazing. There is after market covers 👍 I will be grabbing a Ankor soundcore 3 soon and gifting this 2. I hope this helps, I am 100% satisfied with Ankor SoundCore 2. It is a lot of bang for the price(on sale especially) However, note the photos, read the specifications. If you need a clip or handle? They sell cases. If you want REALLY loud music, you may want to consider 80/200 watts depending on your needs. This for me is for single room use and walking. And it's perfect.
