Very enjoyable
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not what I was expecting after reading Woom. Definitely a good read for splatterpunk fans in general

From one extreme to another
I'm sorry to say there was nothing I enjoyed about this book and if it had been the first I'd read from this author, I wouldn't have read another.I understand the author wanted to not follow Woom by only having 2 characters but I just felt this one had too many characters. None of them were developed enough in any way that made it easy to follow who was who. This was a difficult read for me as I had to keep flicking back to remember what had happened with each character earlier. The only reason for 2 stars is that I gave it 1 for the time taken to write it and another as I was thankful it wasn't full of spelling and grammar mistakes.

I LOVED this book !!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I loved the characters, thankyou for having a Welsh lady in horror setting it weirdly doesn't happen enough. The story was brilliant and easy to follow. I really do love how Ralston gives you all the gorey disgusting details you need but doesn't over do it just for the sake of gore.. it has a point! 100000000% would recommend this book and obviously you need to read woom!!

Decent Sequel
I liked the book as a whole. It was a decent sequel to Woom with the old characters being added in. It wasn't as shocking as Woom but overall I enjoyed the book and am quickly falling in love with Duncan Ralston's style.

Most Boring Book
Genuinely one of the worst books I've ever read. So disappointing, especially following Woom which had me hooked from the outset. Could not keep up with the differing stories as I felt they literally blurred into one. Gore and shock was subpar, gross and written just for the sake of it. If I could sue for the return of my time spent reading this, I would.

Fantastically gross!
Loved this! Funny and gruesome, with some really cringy scenes but likeable characters. Not disgusting for the sake of it, the gross scenes fit the story perfectly. A great follow on from Woom and highly entertaining, well written and enjoyable. I do worry what that says about me though!!

Consider me grossed out
Another great book from Duncan Ralston. Well written, full of humour and massively offensive for the easily offended. Very recommended.

Fun Read
I enjoyed Gross Out tremendously. As someone who was around for the very first "Gross Out" readings this brought back some fun memories. Loved the references to patrons of the con ( hmmm, I think I've known a few from the online community) You don't need to read Doom first to enjoy this book, but if you want to know more about Shyla and Angel, I recommend it. Highly recommend Gross Out.

This is what thanksgiving is all about
This book is like a dysfunctional family geting together you have your black sheeps maybe a alcoholic in the mix who likes whiskey a bit to much. But this story is about bringing them all together and eat stuffing chasing turkeys and loving and forgiving one another show them you truly care about them regardless of the stupid things they did its thanksgiving and we should all be thankfull for this wonderfull ride and turkey stuffing we are eating because at the end of the day.... We could all be somewhere worst than we can imagine BEAUTIFUL BOOK AMAZING LOVE STORY <3

you get what it says in the title
well it's hilarious to read the negative reviews, saying Duncan lacks competence as a writer and the like. he does not. the title clearly states what you gonna get in the book, there is a fair deal of warnings. so if reading the book, be fair and judge it the right way. for me it was a feast to read. the logic successor to WOOM, which you probably should read before Gross Out, tho it's not mandatory. We get a tale of some awesome characters attending a Horror-Con, all of them with some agenda to be there, some fueled by thirst for revenge, some fame and some just for the fun of it. over the convention weekend the most strange and suprisingly gross things happen :pthe book had me laugh so hard at certain points, I mean, to come up with a character like the Hashtag King you gotta be creative and witty.go read it folks, it's a great story.

Better than WOOM
Set in the WOOM universe, but I liked this one quite a bit more. There's more characters, more locations, more violence and mayhem. It's ultimately quite interesting and suspenseful, and Ralston teases us with what will happen at the end. The tease drives the reader forward, eager to know what he has up his sleeve. This one is imaginative and fun, pokes fun at the whole indie horror "community" and has a lot of meat on its bones. This was a fun ride. I'd recommend.

Puke fest
If you are looking for a historical story about hunting a white whale, buy Moby Dick. If you want to be equal parts horrified, terrified, amused, repulsed, intrigued and grossed out, buy this one.5 out of 5 puke buckets.
