SmallRig 12mm/15mm Single Rod Clamp for SmallRig Cage 3440, 3277, 3278,3784 and 3212-3598

Great little rod mount. Much cheaper than the similar wooden camera one but seems well made and has lasted a good few jobs now

Great for a low profile rod mount for 12 or 15mm rods

Useful for compact rail setup the locating pin does not retract thing which makes placements quite limited and a little frustrating.

Value for money.

I have never seen this before. The screw that connects the clamp to other accessories is two pieces held together by friction. This is such a bad design because the act of screwing it into anything would cause it to separate. It’s also not possible to replace the screw with another 1/4inch (this is why the screw separates to fit). I have tried contacting smallrig but no reply. These parts are too pricey to be this unreliable, and could cause real damage. Incl pics. First pic: clamp with the screw in two pieces. Second pic: the threaded half of the screw left inside my (smallrig) handle after separating. No pressure was applied when installing. Hope my block of text helps someone. :)

Twists easily even with small rig cage

So I don't have those Cameras but I do have a DJI RS2 Which is pretty unique in having a focus motor that is designed for a 12mm Rod , of course my other follow focus rod mount stuff is designed for 15mm rods. I already bought Small Rigs combined 12 and 15mm rod only problem with that is the 15mm section once mounted on the cage barely reaches beyond the lens adapters i use. So basically i needed a bush so a follow focus designed for a 15mm rod can fit on a 12mm rod. This rod holder has one. I'm pretty sure its plastic, it doesn't have a Metallic ring to it. However It will do the job. As for the rod mount the pin which will stop it twisting on the supported cages pretty much makes it unusable on other cages and without the pin it's going to twist. Smallrig do have more universal rod clamps but I haven't spotted any rhat have have the bush for 12-15mm conversion.

Clamp works as expected. No issues. Well made.

Con esta pequeña pieza puedo montar un follow focus (en mi caso de Tilta) a una cage de smallrig. El mecanismo es perfecto. Construcción muy sólida como todo lo de smallrig y a buen precio.
