Able to tuck in sides, front and have a good amount to completely cover the back cushions by wrapping up and over, with an approx. 5" extra to tuck behind the top of the couch. Arm covers are perfect and extend around the outside of the armrests sufficiently. I had no need to use the included strap but I will assume that is because my upholstery is fabric so it doesn't tend to slip.
