Heavy flo and a (NOT) wide set vagina
Alright, I want to start off by saying I am a plus size woman and had my reservations about using a cup in general. It sounded difficult and messy and not to mention I have some layers of fluff that make it a bit difficult to really get all up in my lady parts. I just wasn’t sure it was gonna be for me. I finally caved and bought the pack and decided to try it out with my most recent cycle.I tried out the larger cup first knowing my flow is a bit heavier on my first two days, however, after several attempts of practically sticking my leg behind my head(thank you hot yoga) and reaching to my absolute limit, I could not for the life of me fold this cup enough and get it into my hole. I changed tactics and watched a YouTube video which definitely helped and gave me some better ideas about folding and insertion techniques so I decided to switch to the smaller cup and try a new fold, more yoga poses and about 4 retries later, it was comfortably in.I slept in it and had reached about the 10hr mark when I went to change it. Well... this thing had migrated up while I slept and I could not reach the string with my pointer and thumb 😳 feeling utterly defeated and mortified, about a million thoughts raced through my head thinking I’m gonna have to go to my new Gyno to get this stupid thing taken out. Panting like crazy, trying not to panic, while compressing my stomach, trying not to burst in to tears, And all out of options...I decided to put my Keagle exercises to work! Let me tell you ladies, Keagle exercises are not just for pregnant women and they SAVED THE DAY today.I squeezed my keagles like my emotional integrity depended on it and before I knew it the bottom of the cup was in my hand! 🙌🏼 I removed it easily and gently without spilling anything! Now with one round under my belt I’m feeling more confident that menstrual cups might be my new thing! In summary, There is most definitely a learning curve with menstrual cups. It won’t be easy the first time( and probably not the second or third either) and it will take time getting to know your body and what your lady bits need. Don’t be afraid of a little blood and mess, it really isn’t that bad(you should probably wash your hands after though) I like how sturdy the cups are and feel like they have good flex when folding and make me feel protected from leakage. Also, if you are plus size, don’t be scared to try it out, yes it can be a challenge and everyone’s bodies are built a little different but there is no harm in trying it out! My recommendation for anyone considering trying out menstural cups is 1. Watch a YouTube video 2. Use lube if you need to! 3. Don’t give up! 4. And Keagle that MF out with all your might! Best of luck ladies!

Great price, but try the origami fold if its too soft to open
UPDATE: I've been using this thing for a few months now and here's a personal manual to my former selfTechnique:- The origami fold is a magic trick if you struggle to/have never gotten it opened and sealed. Make sure it goes in far enough (into a roomy spot) before you pop it open, or it'll just collapse and flatten out. Be ready to feel a mild pop and suction.- If it feels stuck/suctioned or if you're sick of pulling out your uterus by the "string": hook one finger onto the bottom 1/3 of the cup, then press it forward against pubic bone. It'll slide right out. You'll feel it expanding but it'll come out with relatively minimal mess.Comfort/Convenience:- Starting out: be comfortable/prepared to dig around down there- From here on out: It's always gonna feel uncomfortable to put in and take out. But you'll think back on the messy no cup days and say NO THANK YOU.- The suction is really strong and I always feel a little sore after taking it out. Sometimes I feel it during the day.- Fingers and cup get hella messy. I don't know how other people do it but I can only change my cup in a bathroom+sink unit. Endless wetwipes?Utility:- TMI??: the persistent suction was so much that it changed the pattern of my period. The heavy flow days contracted from 3-4 into 1.5-2 ultra heavy flow days. Overall my period lasts 1-2 days longer due to residual brown/dried secretions.- I generally dread changing the cup and only use it to buffer out heavy days (still wearing a pad, but experimenting with period underwear and results TBD).- That said it still saved me from a ton of morning cleanups and clothing disasters. I'm also a huge fan of this new convenient period flow pattern.___________________________________________________________It was my first cup though and I had only used pads until then. I was frustrated for months trying to get it to open because it was so soft. I almost gave up and ordered another cup. The origami fold works reliably great and compensates for the softness while leaving comfort, you can find some good tutorials if you look it up.I do have to say that the silky pouches it came in were terrible, it shed strings all over the place so I just found a little cotton pouch instead.Cup first-timers: the learning curve can be a little steep and take a few cycles to get used to. technique includes insertion/seal making, removal/mess-minimizing/cleaning up, and also learning how often to change it based on predicted flow. Keep some pantyliners and pads around.

Good Cup
I think the cup may be a good idea for those who have strong pelvic floor muscles. I noticed that after I used them for only one period it caused me to have to urinate more frequently. These aren’t a good product to use if you don’t know about the facilities you’ll be able to use. It’s easy to wash out- as long as there’s soap and running water that can be used while seated on a toilet. I did like that it kept me generally cleaner than other period products.
